Not at all, I'm just saying that the Grey Cup game is very unpredictable and we quite often see upsets. As a Stamps fan, I thought the Stamps were the much better team in both 2016 and 2017, but they lost both of those games to the Redblacks and Argos respectively.
If you were to ask me who the best team in the East is right now, I would say Montreal mainly because of their defense. That said, Davis Alexander can extend plays with both his arm and legs and is a difference maker for that team. That's why I don't think the cross-over is the way to go and why no team has made the Grey Cup game as a cross-over team.
For the Stamps it's kind of pick your poison. They are 0-2 against the Lions and have not been competitive in the losses. They are also 0-2 against the Als and in general rarely ever play well in Montreal where weird things always happen and bad officiating. I think I would take the East because if you do beat Montreal, the Cats look like an easier out than the Riders.

I agree with EE, it won't be easy whether they play BC, who I think is the best team right now, or go to Montreal. Alexander really changes that team and when he's in, there's a strong argument that they are the best team.
That first round of the playoffs is tricky, I won't go back and look up stats, but it always feels like 50 50 for the upset. I kind of take to whole season series and throw it out the window. Weather becomes a huge factor as most teams will work heavy run in Oct and Nov as the passing game becomes sketchy. Its really important for the Stamps to try to force the Lions into a outside game to level off Rourke.
I'm ok with not getting the bye that a first place finish brings. It always feels like an upset in the making.
Right now if the Stamps make the playoffs which they will, they're playing with house money. Remember this is a really young team that was expected to be nowhere near the playoffs this year.

Philpot took that hard hit versus the Ti-Cats and on the injury report it is listed as a head injury. Would not be surprised if he's suffering from a concussion. The good news is Demery was back as a full participant at practice today.

Philpot passed all the protocol tests today and should be back at practice on Thursday - I don't think they need to rush him back if he's not fully healthy though.

Especially if the Elks lose on Friday.

Good news from Stamps practice today as both Erik Brooks and Jalen Philpot were full participants and listed as available for Saturday's game versus the Argos.
