AHS lays off 100 employees and cancels 300 jobs that were to be filled. Guess the license plate may be to distract from that and the report.
Some say Unions are next but to say this wont affect the front line is BS. But with CPSM (contracts) layoffs there will be less oversight.

About time AHS trims. The HR and IT groups there are bloated. Focus on admin and these groups. Support front line.

It's devious, really.
In an industry where morale and efficiency are the greatest concerns, axing human resources, administration, and technical support is the best approach when your goal is to dismantle the foundation and public trust of the current healthcare system.
Just sell it as "supporting front line" workers and cutting "bloat".

I know quite a few people in both groups who "work from home" but spend good chunks of day running personal errands and telling people the lack of work.

I spend my whole life looking for jobs like these, and now somebody comes running up to tell me about them, after they are cut out of existence.

Alberta's government says it has received a final report Wednesday from the investigation into allegations of corruption over health contracts, but it won't be immediately released.

I know quite a few people who were paid by the government to design new license plates in the midst of a healthcare scandal and a teacher strike. They spend good chunks of the day putting in separatist slogans using the default Arial font on cheesy backdrops. I’m convinced that they fully exemplify a non-bloated, totally fiscally responsible public service.

Does anyone else remember Smith and Anderson fighting tooth and nail, as the Alberta Conservative government suggested removing "Wild Rose Country" from the licence Plates?

Probably not surprising. AHS is being given the C-3PO at Cloud City treatment. They don't need as much IT support or HR with fewer roles to fill. This will be celebrated as cost savings by the government, when it's really just shuffling the chairs around, and presumably funnelling money to private interests instead.
They certainly don't need things like communications department to inform the public of health related matters, because Danielle "dying of cancer is really your fault" Smith has taken over that roll, and prefers gaslighting and misinformation to facts.
You think this is bad? Wait until she starts handing over hospitals to private operators disguised as "just another AHS and Covenant Health" who are probably going to be American corporations. But your fellow citizens voted for all of this, so this is what we get.
