Did you tell the surgeon before they closed him up that there were these extra screws left over?

Is it like an IKEA piece that if you don't have extra screws left when you're done you did something wrong?

I planned to go to the Mary Browns in Belfast, but when I got there, it smelled like the oil was in serious need of changing, so I didn’t bother.

I remember stopping at the location on 16th and being do disappointed. They started to disappear not long after that

Like you said all they had to do was leave it alone and change nothing

Yeah, that location on Manilla Road by my old office was always packed. The only thing I could think of changing was trying to find a way to optimize through-put to try and run people through more quickly.

But nobody seemed to mind waiting in line. That place was insane.

That place had to have been making serious bank from the locals in the Industrial Sector, it was crazy.

They were at the Stampede for a couple of years, it was so nice to get actual real food there.

I used to enjoy Chicken on the Way but I can’t be bothered anymore. Every time the chicken is so disappointing. Dry and the fry oil seems like it was used too many times for basement action.

I swear they stopped seasoning it or something. Used to be great, last few times just bland garbage

I can't stand chicken that is fried in grease.

Holy Smoke's 16th Ave location was pretty terrible. It made me wonder what all of the fuss was about.

I never went there. Manilla Road was the OG of Holy Smoke and...It. Was. Glorious.

Yep exactly. Every other location was awful, but the original one was fantastic

I went there two times. The first time one of the owners was there and it was the same as the original location (this was shortly after it opened). Also it was pretty busy. The second time was much later and it was dead, none of the owners were there, the food was cold, and everything was served wrong.

Nah, flying is great in that it is accessible to people in a way broader wealth bracket than ever before.

You ever see those photos from the 60s when everyone flying had tons of room, the food was delicious and they were all dressed super dapper? Yeah, those planes were filled with super wealthy people.

The fancy experience is still there, but as it has always been, you have to pay for it. You can get first class. Hell, you can charter a private jet if you want.

Or, you can pay rock-bottom prices for a rock-bottom experience.

I like that it's more accessible now and cheaper than ever.

I remember paying $1600 return to Berlin in 1995 when I was 18. That's $3373 in today's dollars. I just went to Expedia and punched in that flight and I can get it today for $1377.

It just gets cheaper and cheaper and cheaper and has for my whole life.

The deluxe experience gets better and better and better (my wife slept in a pod to Paris last year with her work), but it doesn't come cheap.

It's cheaper and more accessible, yes. But it doesn't mean it doesn't still suck, in general. My point was flying sounds like one of those amazing imagination things that would just be incredible, but the reality for most people is that it's just a bus with more hassle.

Hey, I hate it, too. I don't buy myself a fricken sleeping pod, that's for sure. But I do recognize you get the experience you pay for. It can be sick.
