The Bichette question is interesting. He's clearly not at the point where he has full mobility, which is a huge liability at SS.
So maybe we bring him along as a DH or a bench bat. But if he's a DH, then the Springer/Santander paradox gets even trickier.
If you're just bringing him along as a bench bat, that's fine, but that essentially eats two bench positions as after he pinch hits, someone else needs to fill in for him defensively.
His bat alone may be worth it. But it leaves them pretty thin as far lineup flexibility and defensive maneuverability
Problem is if he’s not really ready and gets hurt further trying to be a DH, if you want to replace him in the LCS, he can’t play in the WS.
Had tickets to game 1 but had to move things around as my buddy also has tickets to Adam Sandler in Sunday and he got his head practically torn off by wifey when he suggested giving away his ticket to one of her gf's to go with her lol. So we're going to game 2 instead because I guess their thanksgiving dinner isn't as important for her than their date night on Sunday!

Isn't the choice between Straw and Santander and not Santander and Springer?
If they bring Bo into DH, Springer move to outfield, and one of Straw or Santander sit. I think edge is to go with Straw, but I have felt that Santander has slowly been getting better since his return.

I think that weakens the outfield too much. Maybe later in the series if the offence needs a boost

Honestly if it’s a struggle he should be sitting out. The team is doing alright. It would be a let down to give him a spot if he’s 70% there. Something also tells me he wants to field. If that’s the case and he feels ready he should be at second. Then move clement to 3rd over barger.
Yeah, just from that you know his head wouldn't be comfortable playing. I hope they do the right thing and leave him off for this round (unless it's all a ruse, which it doesn't appear to be).
Listening to Schneider media today, sure seems like we'll see both Scherzer and Bassitt on the active roster and I'd bet on seeing Gausman, Yesavage, Bieber and then Scherzer starting the first 4 games. Bassitt in the pen ready for 40 to 50 pitches as well. As most would guess, likely see Bruihl and Nance dropped from the active roster to make room.
