I missed the live play because I was watching football. How was the hit by pitch called on a bunt?
I saw the replay where it hit his hand but how was it ever considered a hit by pitch? Did they determine that he pulled back in time?

Didn’t look like he pulled the bunt back. Isn’t that like a swing? You can’t be hit by a pitch if you offer at the pitch.

The bat sure looked like it was still past the plate for a committed bunt so a HBP should be a strike
