Tie game!
Skubal is beatable. Jays don't strike out 11 times.

Well, hopefully extra innings to screw both teams more. What a dumb move pulling an ace possibly having one of the all time greatest games of this generation.

Someone needs to come up with an analytic that says something like "He's your goddamn ace and he's dealing, don't be a ####ing idiot"

Yeah let the Ms beat Skubul. Not a second tier reliever. What are they saving him for?
Hinch is somewhere in the dressing room looking for a garbage can to beat.

I just came to post that. I hope this game goes on forever with high pitch counts and every single reliever throws until their arm falls off. Bring in some starters and let them get worn out too.

They’ll be just as many Jays fans in Detroit. Hoping the Tigers can pull this off. Seeing weeping Mariners fans is weird.
Baez just missed that last one.

Senor smoke is brutal... throwing about 12 sliders in a row mostly for balls and walks 2 in a row

I dunno man I've never seen comerica taken over the same way as safeco... ive seen probably 15,000 -20,000 jays fans there. This time of year and with ticket postal code restrictions it won't be like that but still, western canadian jays fans only get a few games a year and go pretty nuts to get there. Definately will be loads of jays fans going down the Detroit too with it so close to the border

There were 12 pitchers this season with a faster average fastball than him.

They haven’t filled Detroit because there was no reason to. Western Canadian Jays fans have and would be going to Seattle during the season no matter how the Jays were doing. Seattle fans no problem giving up their seats for that weekend each year for a tidy profit.

But playoff time? Seattle fans aren’t giving up their seats for the first time in the ALCS.
In southern Ontario, casual Jays fans and the ones that didnt get or didn’t want to pay Skydome prices can drive 2h or less to Detroit to watch and pay a lot less.

I dont know the teams well but going over their batting stats neither team really hits for average at all, jays will have a huge advantage at the plate almost 20 points in regular season over both.

But both seem to have good pitching staffs and the two stars are clearly Raleigh with his homers and skubel with the crazy whip.

I feel like skubel can almost win 2 games on his own so I lean Ms but it seems like the oddsmakers think seattle is better as they have much better odds to win it all

Aside from location anybody feel like one of these teams is clearly better?

Yeah fair maybe comerica will be better travelling support i really dont know. Safeco/t mobile is way bigger for what it's worth so those extra 7000 tickets might make it a bit easier... but it's in the middle of the fall with school on and people seem to be avoiding us travel in bc so maybe Detroit will be better as you can very easily day trip it

Fox commentator wanting the Mariners to win so badly. This Vest guy has mowed down the heart of the Ms lineup and the pbp guys seems disappointed at each out.

What postal code restrictions? Last I checked Ticketmaster was not preventing Canadians from buying tickets.

We won't hear anything until the opponent is firmed up but if it's seattle i would 100% expect them to do what the yankees did and restrict tickets to WA and maybe Idaho and Oregon postal codes. their home games against the jays felt like blue jays home games pre trump II.

Doesn't stop ppl from getting tickets 2nd hand on stubhub though

Man both these teams seem pretty poor at making contact, have to feel good about that
