Default Canucks 5 Flames 1

Canucks 5 Flames 1

- Flames were actually much better tonight than last night.
- Dustin Wolf with an infrequent off night
- 1-0 Vancouver after two changes on a scary play off of Bahl's head

Last night, hockey gods with them… start the car!
Tonight, not so much… burn the tape! Gotta move on

I'm surprised Wolf started, don't think that set him up for success.

Even Huska in his post game noted that on one goal, they missed a grade A, then it went the other way and in, and on another goal his guy got blasted in the head and was laying prone while it bounced to a Canuck

Some days you just don’t get things going your way, I’d consider it wise to assess considering things you control and things you can’t

Backlund wasn't bad with Zary and Coleman but 1:38 with Lomberg and 4 shot attempts against to zero and almost 5x the xGA that he had in 7+ mins with his usual mates (0.1 vs 0.48).

Yeah, Lombo is more of a mascot at this stage than a productive NHLer.

Honestly, I had the Flames being lucky to get one point in these two games. Leaving with a split is a win for me.

I think Vancouver is going to be decent this year if they can stay healthy. I see them and Vegas competing for the Division title.

Demko looked really good last night. He is the x-factor for them.

If Demko is healthy then he's a good goaltender and they have a solid tandem in net. I also think that Hughes is a very special player and he's healthy this year unlike last year. They have decent but not amazing forwards with enough goal scores that offense should not be a terrible issue for them.

I just think that Vancouver is going to compete with Vegas for best team in the division. I think Edmonton is much worse this year than last year and is probably 3rd or 4th in the division.

Again, I could be way off.

The line of Farabee, Frost and Sharky has been the best line coming out of the preseason and the 2 games thus far.
