Skubul pitching so he probably doesn’t get to the LCS until game 3.
And either team has to fly cross country.
This is so good. And draining as a fan, nevermind a player. As mentioned months ago the mood would be similar if they won the WC game and left them worn out for he ALDS.
And the badly managed game yesterday could’ve haunted them in a 3 game series.
But win the division, get a rest, get a team who had to play a series and use energy and pitching, get that 5 game series where one badly managed game doesn’t kill you, and here they are.
Skubal pitching game 5 is a big deal if the Tigers win. That means he'd be on 2 days rest to start game 2, which I can't imagine they do since he could still only start 2 games that series. So you're not getting Skubal until game 3, and hopefully its 2-0 by then. Then you don't see him again until game 6 (which would be short rest) or game 7 (regular rest). If game 6 has the Tigers facing elimination they pitch him then (at home), and I like the Jays chances of hitting him when they're seeing him the second time in 4 days and he's on short rest.
I haven't seen the M's much, seems like "pitch around Cal Raleigh" would be an important part of the plan.
But realistically if we have 4 players with OPS of 1.000 or higher again (Vladdy, Clement, Varsho and Schneider this series) that should do it!
I’m really impressed with the way they wiped the slate clean from last night.
That was such a heartbreaking loss and momentum builder for New York. To totally erase that and do what they did tonight is frankly very impressive
In a bullpen game that not many had them pegged to win, especially after the collapses in game 2 and 3. Having so many of the Jays pitchers able to be a part of this win has to be quite cathartic all around

Truly beyond my wildest dreams to see this team in the ALCS. The growth of Vladdy from a young, immature, raw talent to this mature, confident and poised player is remarkable.
Took my boys to game 1 and we had such an amazing time at the game. This series is truly special. Even though we were first overall it still felt like we were the underdogs against the legendary New York Yankees.
Amazing contributions from everyone up and down the lineup. True team effort and with great management and game planning as well.

They are set up to start the same three guys, but i would imagine we don't see a game 4 bullpen game but instead will have either Sherzer or Bassitt back in place of Bruihl.
Sounds like Bo might be back too and if so he'll replace Falafel
