Oct.3rd:

Leander gets no points, and was +1 in a 5-2 win over Linkoping. 7gp/0g/2a/2pts,+1, 35 PIM.

On Wednesday, Matveiko had 1g, 2a, and was +2 in a 4-3 SO loss to AKM Junior Tula Region. 10gp/5g/8a/13pts,+12, 4 PIM, tied for 14th in MHL scoring, and 5th in plus/minus.

Zarubin stops 27 of 29 in a 3-2 win over Kuznetskie Medvedi. He sits at 2-2-0, with a 2.24 GAA (33rd), and a .926 SV% (35th).

Oct.4th:

Matveiko gets the lone goal (+1) in a 1-0 win over Kapitan Stupino. 11gp/6g/8a/14pts,+13, 4 PIM, tied for 13th in points, and 3rd in plus/minus.

Stockselius played 7:22 in the SHL against the Malmo Redhawks, but was all zeroes.

Yegorov stops 30 of 35 in a 5-4 OT loss to Sakhalinskiye Akuly (.857 SV%). He sits at 2-3-0, with a 3.19 GAA (62nd), and a .914 SV% (48th).

I looked into the MHL point leaders and quite a few players have there stats and games exactly doubled.
This actually places Matveiko at tied for 11th in scoring as it drops two players below him. Kirill should not be leading the MHL, but is still ahead of Matveiko with 16 points instead of 32.

It looks like Gashilov should be the MHL point leader with 19 points.

Could be potentially this season.

Backlund came to NA mid 08/09 season and was assigned to Kelowna.

IIRC there was issues with him getting ice time with his Swedish team.

I think the kid really needs to play. If they're going to just sit him in the SHL, he better make the move to NA and get opportunities to play and play a lot. Nice to potentially have him in the Flames back yard.
