Yotei's not bad, feels much easier than the first and is suffering from that AC style mid game open world bog down with 40,000 side quests of which 10 are actually useful but it's fun enough so far. Let's see where it goes

I've been playing Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles and it feels just like I remember the original being. Maybe too much. I wish there was better camera control and a battle save, but otherwise it's great.

If you exit the game via the menus mid-battle, the Continue option on the title screen will take you right back where you quit. I was not happy about the no obvious quick save either, but this is close enough.

Kind of like my playthrough of the Snake Eater remake. The storyline is still fun and all but you can't ignore the archaic control scheme and mechanics that get downright frustrating at times in combat. Still it was fun to play through this one more time.

I am wishing there was one more level of "tilt" for the battle screens, I guess that strategic view toggle works for it.
Overall though I'm loving playing it again, the cleaned up UI is very nice and little updates like the "Outfitter" option at the Merchant and the ability to flee or force random battles is great. Voice acting takes it up a notch too. I hated Argath even more this time around, and the voice acting really helped sell it.

Wasn't the Outfitter in the original game? Every RPG should have it. It's so quick and easy to equip your units that way.
Seems like Ubisoft cancelled an AC game set after the Civil War

Recruited by the series’ Assassins, he would return to the South to fight for justice in a conflict that would, among other things, see him confront the emergence of the Ku Klux Klan
