A trump appointed federal judge just granted a restraining order in Oregon halting federal troop mobilization there for now.
From an interview, Oregon AG Rayfield: The first thing that might’ve told you the federal government wasn’t doing so hot was when they started off some of their arguments by talking about Truth Social as their source of facts.
That actually got a comment from the judge: “Is this really how you’re going to move forward?”
PeeWee German is big mad about it too
@StephenM on X: Legal insurrection. The President is the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, not an Oregon judge. Portland and Oregon law enforcement, at the direction of local leaders, have refused to aid ICE officers facing relentless terrorist assault and threats to life. (There are more local law enforcement officers in Oregon than there are guns and badges in the FBI nationwide). This is an organized terrorist attack on the federal government and its officers, and the deployment of troops is an absolute necessity to defend our personnel, our laws, our government, public order and the Republic itself.

Do we have any posters that still post defending Trump or do they just quietly approve what is going on down there? Have not seen many pro Trump posts in some time.

I still find it strange to see support here. I guess I shouldn't, because none of his cult is changing their minds, but their perspective is so skewed you know that's never happening. On a job the other day where we were discussing how to present certain difficult information, and a guy says just lay it out fair and balanced, like Fox News. Which I obviously at first thought was intended as humor, but I was wrong.

Frankly, I'm not particularly fussed where he does it but I'd prefer he be quick about it.

Trump deploying National Guard to Portland after a judge ordered he desist. I think the Democrats need to start being more tough on this. Make it clear that when they take office back any National Guard member that breaks his constitutional oath to follow a deranged president will no longer be a National Guard member in the future. You broke your oath, you can get a regular job.

I’m pretty sure going after the national guard members rank and file would be a losing issue, completely.

Also, National Guardsmen all have a regular job, the guard is their extra job.

How so?

The military’s penal code, the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), includes common law crimes such as murder, rape, and larceny. Given that there is no requirement that the crime involve the military beyond the fact that the accused is a member of the armed forces subject to military law, courts-martial jurisdiction often “overlaps substantially with that of state and federal courts” Ortiz v. United States, 138 S. Ct. 2165, 2167 (2018). However, the UCMJ also, quite reasonably, provides numerous military-unique crimes, such as conduct that is service discrediting or prejudicial to good order and discipline; insubordination; desertion; contemptuous words; and disobedience. As a result of these crimes that compromise good order and discipline, it is an undeniable reality that the civil liberties of those in the military are not co-extensive with civilians; the First Amendment’s freedom of speech protections, for example, apply far differently, and for the most part appropriately so, to those in the military than to those not in uniform

Then their employers should seriously look at dismissing them. If people can be fired for posting about Charlie Kirk they can be fired for breaking their oath to their country. Time to start playing hard ball.

a constitutional crisis before our eyes.
Judge blocks trumps call to federalize Oregon national guard troops. Trump then sends California National Guard troops to Portland. California sues.
A blatant attack on the independence of States rights. Newsom and Kotek have to play this right.
