Kristian Huselias was drafted 47th overall.

The Internet tells me he's 46 years old now. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

This name still gives me EA auto generated vibes. He was destined to be a flame.

It tells you that a year from now, his age will match his draft position.

Hitmen trade for Theo’s rights.

Wonder if they know he might want to come over sooner than later.

That would be great news if the flames can essentially get him into the fold earlier. I always think that for all the talk about how well certain orgs develop players, that 90% of the dev work before they come into the ECHL or AHL is being done by their junior/european organization and the NHL team can support or supplement that but are also really just hoping it goes well. Flames getting a kid like this essentially into the organization and the building earlier is great. Although now that he's getting a taste of the SHL, you wonder if he'll be inclined to come over if there's any chance he sees minutes there, as the dub is quite a step down. Moving from U20 to the WHL makes sense though

Couldn’t find the conditions but maybe him coming over is said condition. Would be convenient for the organization to help him grow but I would have thought the Swedish league to be better.

Aren't the Hitmen maxed out with Imports?

Clubs are allowed three import spots now, up from the previous two.

I counted three on the current Hitmen roster.

But, as the previous post indicates, it's for next year.

Hurtig for example, will have graduated.
