The results of this study is in and most of you need to spend more time watching hockey instead of on CP.

Guy has played 148 games and scored 14 last year.

If he takes another step in the next year or two the contract looks alright.

His shooting % was above 10% last year also.

Generally unsustainable for a dman.

Literally the only reason I know him lol. Picked him up mid season and was pleasantly surprised, ended up using my 1 FA re-sign slot on him

It's a pricey deal. He did have a pretty strong second half last year. Although this does make me think of how the Ducks pretty much threw away buys like Brandon Montour and Shea Theodore because they loved Josh Manson that much.

I definitely do not follow the league as closely as I did when I was younger. Legit never heard of this guy. Same thing with Samberg in WPG he signed for $6M per and I had never heard of him.

They are occasionally the opposition of other teams. Even the Flames!

I generally don't choose what players I know of and which ones I'm not aware of based on their shooting %.

Yes I mentioned already that we played them 4 times last year and I still have no idea who Lacombe is.

Oh I did goto his high school here in SE Calgary though.

Yeah but almost all of his goals and points were 5on5 which is a good indicator of worth.

Great deal for Anaheim. He's a cog with their defense. Kind of came out of nowhere. I thought he was a for sure middle pairing guy for his career, but he really took the top pairing job and ran with it. Makes you wonder if Zelleweger will play on his off side, or if either he or Mintyukov get moved for some forward help.

I wasn't suggesting that he's not a good dman.

But he's not likely to score 12 goals on 5v5 if he needs a 10.4% shooting percentage to do it.

Erik Karlsson was at 6.7% for his career, and he was pretty good offensively.

Makar led the NHL in goals last year by a dman and sat at 10.4%.
