Yankees don’t have a Chapman/Whitlock bullpen either.
Bednar is good but their other guys are prone to meltdowns. Though, Williams and Cruz have been very good in September.
I’d still rather face the NY late inning guys over the freaks on Boston

Judge with a bean to the wrist. He didn't show pain but that fastball tagged him hard. No doubt it affected him.

Yeah, Fried is great but the Jays got to him 3 times this year. His only successful shutdown of our bats was back on April 27th

The Jays beat the brakes off of Schlittler once too.

Crochet is almost a guaranteed two wins. Jays shouldn’t be scared of Yankees pitching, not to mention they seem mentally fragile. Soon as defensive warts begin they fall apart fast.

And nothing brings Vladdy to life like hitting in Yankee stadium. He’s insane there
For a team that puts balls in play like the Jays, the pressure will be on the Yankees defense, which we’ve seen is not very good

Matz has had a long career. Feels like forever since he was a Jay.

I would've loved to see the cocky Yanks taken down a peg. And if it wasn't for a great play by Chisholm in the field last night they wouldve. But really, the Jays matchup better against the Yanks. And it's only a matter of time before playoff Judge shows up and goes 0-for.

Schlittler would be lined up to face us game 3, Tuesday in NY.
Could be Yesavage vs Schlittler, if the Jays go the obvious route.

Yesavage really shouldn't start on the road. He's young. I hope he's the game 2 starter and Bieber is kept for game 3.

Schlittler setting a record by going 8 scoreless, with 12k's and no walks is insane. And just shows how the Red Sox were all smoke and mirrors. Because they were. Especially after trading Devers.

The thing to factor in to that though, is your game 5 starter would be either your game 1 or 2 guy. Your game 3 guy will be out of the picture for game 5 (except maybe a desperation relief inning)
