Yes, waivers are announced every day at noon Calgary time. At that time, they'll announce if any player put on waivers the day before was claimed. All others will have cleared and can be sent to the AHL.

Some of the time even when these guys get claimed, they get a little tryout with the new team and go back on waivers. I think one guy went back and forth a few times last season.

They need to sort out the Andersson situation and clean up the roster a bit. Think this is the last year they can let guys like Solovyov and Kuznetsov stew down in the AHL.
Not to mention Brzustewicz and Grushnikov. I have a feeling Poirier probably isn’t in the long term plan anymore.

Once you are on waiver unclaimed, you are not really in ‘the plan’ any more, unless your game improves significantly. The flames are also deep in fringe prospects, next.
