Lol here come the UCP shills!

I only care about what matters to ME and what I think, based on my PERSONAL experiences and will shun out EVERYTHING ELSE.

Actually I think most politicians (regardless of side) are useless and a waste of public tax dollars. I also think most firms if public gov arms are also very inefficient as well.

Pretty sure that dude lives in Australia.

Is your argument that because some classes are under 30 students that must mean that none of them are over 30 students?

Yes I figured, you probably agree with Smith's ideology 100%: https://globalnews.ca/news/4067888/d...ublic-schools/

Not at all. I'm simply saying not all classes are above 30. Actually, I think if they redid and pushed more kids to certain schools they could balance things out.

Naw. But I do think there needs to be reform. Example. Eligible vendors to purchase from are typically 2-3x more then going outside the vendor list. Or the other year a portable at my one kids school was removed. To be brought back the next year. The admin/management level in the school boards are meh.

You understand how averages work right. There used to be classes below 20 now people talk as if below 25 is small. Below 25 should be average above 30 should be rare. Above 40 should not exist.

The fact that your numbers of below 25 is surprising and rare is evidence of the class size issue.

My daughter's grade 5 has like 23. My son in grade 10 has 30 or more in most of his classes. But I live in St.Albert which is considered a place that's got the reputation of being an exclusive white country club. The fact that it has good schools is why people like me bankrupt themselves to try and live here.

But I do hear stories from guys I know in Edmonton where the schools are overfilled. Yet they keep expanding the neighborhood but don't add any new schools. The day the school opens it's at capacity...yet the new subdivision is only half done.

Problem is the government usually shuts down the lower attended schools or charters them out. Happened to my kids’ elementary school. Great school, great teachers, smaller class sizes of around 20 because of “low” enrolment due to it being in an older community with fewer young families.

Some Calgary teachers were actually worried that those in smaller and rural communities would vote in favour of the deal because class sizes are smaller there, but it didn't happen.

It’s been explained to him like a million times in a million different ways but he keeps bringing it up.

It’s not worth it.

Maybe he can't read it? We can find someone to say it to him....

Or this one that is a little more direct.

Good on teachers. The government isn’t going to look out for them, the children of this province, or our education system, so we’re lucky that they’re willing to fight to do that.

Ignore the bootlickers whining about sick days and or whatever else. I don’t know a single person with or without kids that isn’t standing with teachers on this.

UCP mouthpiece Bruce McAllister cut the mic of a high schooler trying to respectfully ask a question tonight and proceeded to say his parents should hit him. Danielle Smith just sat there and nodded along.

These are the people pretending to care for your kids. They think you should be spanking your teenagers if they ask a question you don’t like. Disgusting.
