That actual finish was horrific, Packers seemed to think the Cowboys could get the ball back? Otherwise, why act like you gotta score with no time left? Ghastly clock management from LaFleur, but hey 40-40 scorigami for the stupidity.

To me it looked more like ineptitude and taking too long to get plays off than any ill-conceived strategy.

If Lamar is out, it's really going to be hard for them to win these next two games. Their Division isn't very strong with Burrow out so even if they start out 1-5 they can still claw back. But their injury list is already pretty lengthy to the point where Jackson was the one thing keeping them afloat.

According to some of the likely biased feeds I get, seems like quite a few people think Lamar Jackson quit on his team during that game. It did seem to me like the Ravens collectively threw in the towel just before the end of the third quarter. That said, short week, injuries were piling up, and down 17 on the road, I can see why maybe you tell the troops to retreat and not take any more casualties (which they still managed to do). But betting markets do seem to think Lamar's going to be a go here this next week.

I mean it seemed obvious from how they played that 4th quarter they had given up on the game. Even after that 71 yard TD they could have gone for 2 to make it a 16 point lead and hoped for the double onside miracle, but they kicked the XP. And yeah you can say pulling Lamar that early is pretty weak considering it was only down 17 with a full quarter, but that defense was Swiss cheese so the Ravens O could have dropped 30 in the 4th and still lost cause the Chiefs probably easily get 14.
I know it would probably lead to bookie meltdowns and the NFL would never encourage it, but given the violent nature of the game and the possibility of season/career ending injuries at anytime, feels like teams should come together and agree to just kneel it out when one team gives up.

Someone’s gotta come up with a clever name for the 2-pointer on a conversion return.

Denver's DLine and secondary are decent but this line backing crew stinks. Shame they signed the corpse of Dre Greenlaw, they need to draft some real middle of the field talent this year

Strong 3 and out while also burning a timeout to start the game for Denver. They really think they're good huh?
Still early but if they lose to this Bungles squad that temperature in the city is going to get real hot real fast

Broncos running game is ####. As much as you can criticize Shakey Legs Bo, you're not giving him much support when the defense can key in on the passing game.

His leg bent in a way that's not suppose to bend. With his most valuable attribute being his speed, him coming back to be effective is a very tall order; especially at his age.

Disagree. The reason to have any empathy for Bengals fans is because their owner is one of the cheapest twats in all of sports. If they had competent coaches and management they might have tried to build an offensive line to keep the QB healthy.

It's tough to take anything away from that for the Broncos as the Bengals had absolutely zero interest in playing football. Their level of ineptitude is far more than simply missing Joe Burrow, that team is rotten from top to bottom. The league should institute a mechanism that allows for coaches to agree to end the game when a mismatch like that is clear. There was no reason to play the second half of that game.

Yeah that was the type of performance on national television that should put any head coach on the hotseat. I have to think this should be the last year for Taylor but Bengals always gonna Bengals.

Taylor got carried to this point by that Chiefs choke job in the AFCCG (and the Ravens fumble TD to a lesser degree), without that he'd probably already be gone. Always been a mediocre coach, but it's expensive to fire him so the Burrow injury might be the thing to allow the Bengals to keep him.

I don’t know that it's that complicated, they kept Lewis around for like 15 years and he stunk the whole time. They're painfully cheap and don’t care if the coach is good.
