My thoughts? Pospisils roster spot is not guaranteed right now. There's some fws banging loudly on the door.

Gridin has been good. That said, I think one of Kirkland and Morton will be the 1st call-up. With Honzek, Hunt, and Stromgren as the bottom 6 options.

That was a pretty good 3rd by the Flames. They were unlucky to only get 1.

Did Gridin get the goal or Kuznetsov? nhl.com has it as Kuz for some reason

I think Conny's got some hard calls to make.

Morton, Kerins and Kuznetsov should all make the team

defense should be really interesting, especially with the 5, 6 and 7 dman,

Key question is what do they do with Kerins, he has had a good camp, however he is definitely not the 4th line type of a forward

Pospisil had a tough game, not sure where he fits in the lineup, he might be the 13th forward

It would be great for the kids if CC moved a guy or two in order to make room for new players that earned a spot.

Coleman is going to be 34 in November ... Craig should be shopping him basically right now

Like what I’ve seen from Brz and Grushnikov, but wouldn’t mind more AHL seasoning for them
I would put Kerins on wing with Backlund and Coleman to start season and move Farabee down to play with Pospisil (center) and Klapka. Depends how the first games go I would even consider putting Kerins with Frost and Zary (or Sharangovich) and move either of those players down to play with Backlund and Coleman.

Zary has not impressed me much in the games I have seen him.

Agreed, so don't treat him like one.

It might be time for Backlund to drop to the 4th line with PK duty. I know he's the captain and they just resigned him for 2 more years, but let's be realistic...he's not going to generate a lot of offense at this point in his career. I think my centers would be Kadri, Frost, Kerins, and Backlund to start the year. Kerins gets time on PP 2 as well. I just think he has a knack for offense and we need that in a lineup without a true top line.

Controversial? Maybe, but it's time to let some of these young guys start to takeover the team.

Gridin has finish. And on this team, only a handful of forwards do (Kadri, Coronato, Huberdeau from within 5ft of the net).

I think you make room this season at some point for him. He's on a similar trajectory to Coronato.

he's played well in preseason games against so-so lineups...lets not get carried away. He struggled defensively at the NHL level last year.

Backlund is 3rd line center for at least 1 if not 2 more years.

Kerins can't play 4th line, he is not a energy type of a guy, nor is he great at face offs (i.e. same thing with Zary)

I would think that line is "Lomberg, Kirkland and Klapka"
