Trump announcing more worldwide tariffs on everybody today. 100% on pharmaceuticals, and lower rates on upholstered furniture, kitchen cabinets, and heavy trucks. He says it’s for “national security…and other reasons.” What an absolute f’n clown.
You know the tariff bulls*** is getting old when it’s not even the top story on any of the major news outlets. I had scrolled all the way down before I noticed it on CBC’s website. Comey being indicted is obviously the distraction of the week.
I was just reading that the U.S. is finally starting to feel the effects of the tariffs, and the news ain’t pretty. Inflation and the cost of goods are getting worse down there. There are also no signs whatsoever that’s it’s driving manufacturing back to the U.S.
I was in the Seattle area last week for work and ended up going to Walmart and Costco for a few groceries and I was surprised that food items were so expensive-- probably comparable to what I pay up here at Costco and superstore, probably more after exchange. Non grocery items still seemed like they were a lot less though but I'm sure that will change if things keep going how they are.

Interesting tactic.
If you starve the poor they'll wind up eating the rich.
