I'm not huge on Sours, which makes me not a cool beer person.

That is what some of the boys would say when we were 21/22 and they thought drinking Sierra Nevada and Fernet was passable as a personality trait. Glad the commitment to the bit is going strong in some lol.

Wrong. I hate both IPAs and light beer.

There's nothing to IPAs. They're just hops. Bitter for the sake of bitter. It's boring and gross in equal measure.

That's why the real beer experts in Europe - places like Germany, the Czech Republic, and Holland all brew well known IPAs.

Oh, wait.

Yes, those are three countries with a long history of brewing beer. But I also like to just omit dozens of other countries to try and prove a point.

Jesus Christ, there's nothing wrong with liking what you like. If you like Molson, great. Likewise IPA or any other beverage.

It's the people ragging on someone for their preferences that are the dicks. Who gives a #### what they think?

No way Jose to IPA's at the dome, they make me go numero dos. No need to have that experience at the dome.

It's just abit of harmless banter, at the end of the day we're just busting each others balls in a thread about beer. It's not like any posters are actually looking down on others because of their taste, and I'd like to think we all have thick enough skin to acknowledge this.

They brew the best beer.

IPAs are a British invention, and they don't even really like them much in England nowadays. They were invented mostly because they better at survivng long sea voyages.

There's really only one country that loves IPAs. And even there it's not as popular as lager.

I would have thought they do so because it makes them money, but maybe you're right - maybe they do it because it is the proper thing for a brew master to do.

(I still think it's just for the money though)

Yeah no need to crap on other guys beer preferences... everyone has stuff they like - I think we can all agree, that if we think about a style we don't like and picture 95% of the taps at the dome only pouring that, it would suck.

So it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the best way to do it is to have a few different beers available.

But if there is no choice and you are gonna make me mostly drink watery lager the least you could do is offer a side of clamato with it, probably sacrilege to some but its an upgrade

You have just described west coast IPAs. I would tend to agree with you on that point with west coast.

New England IPAs and hazy IPAs usually have a very different flavour profile.

I don't have a problem with poking fun at taste in beer, however as soon as you imply somebody isn't a real man you've gone too far.

I think I have reached my lifetime allotment for beer a lot sooner than is recommended. Its all just bloaty. IPA's are worse, I did a few year stint liking them and microbrews but realized they are self-limiting due to being objectively gross.

They are teh easiest to make with the shortest time to market so that's why all these laid off petroleum engineers started the local microbrews spewing them out.

I will go for one or two of the high test belgian ones, one or two and you are good and don't feel like a bag of arse.

I wish they hadn't removed those from the shelves for the 14 trillion local garbage beers.

Schneiderweisse did a collaboration with Brooklyn beer (in new york obviously) a few years back which was stellar. Tap 5 is the only hoppy beer I love.

Sorry, you can't have a good beer after 1 year after opening. Like a Hyunter Smith beer.

I have had every beer and they all do the trick.
