A combination of feeling the pressure/heat, being worn out, and (in the case of tonight) facing one of the best pitchers in the game. I really think the chance to win the East has gotten in their heads more than anything. Maybe getting caught by the Yanks will wake them up.

Their approach of swinging at every first pitch and grounding out is working just great.
It's like they just want the season to end and dont care about winning games anymore.
