20-30%, but there were also 4 teams all competing for that last spot. It wasn't statistically unlikely. The Flames were just in tight race with other teams. Big difference between that and being out of it.
The Flames won their last 4 games, but went 3-3-2 in the 8 games before that.
It was far more statistically unlikely with those last 4 games, that the Flames didn't make it, as they had to win out and the other teams lose. The Blues had won 12 in a row prior to that last 4 games.
So I guess you could make an argument that after the Blues had won 12 in a row, and only 4 games were left, the season was over, but it actually wasn't, as the Flames won all 4 games and missed by a tie breaker.
