And year over year growth in almost every month. Not bad considering the drop in US traffic. Unless there hasn't been a big drop in US traffic for YYC.

Yes, George Carlin is spinning in his grave about simple words that've been around for decades that simply mean to board and exit an aircraft. This is exactly what he meant when he spoke about soft language.
Well that or you're just rolling your eyes at a term you've never heard of.

Do we still have pandas? If so, maybe China? WestJet played a big part in the bamboo supply chain for them.

Lack of pandas make me think it's not China, perhaps a South American destination that can fill 787's during our winter season?

WrstJet certainly did cargo in some bamboo for the pandas because I was there pre-covid and I remember dealing with bamboo logistics.

Pretty sure their 787's would take a load penalty to make that flight.
Stopover in HNL to do it with no penalty?

Considering their recent efforts to pack everyone in like caged animals, the zoo setting seems appropriate.

My guess is Cartagena Colombia. Its in range of the 737 Max 8s from Calgary. There is growing demand for non-USA sun destinations. Looking at the map, I can't find too many more Caribbean/Central America/Mexico destinations that would be new for Westjet.
Would love Australia or other further overseas destinations though.

Could it make it to Singapore? That’s a great zoo. Wonder if it makes sense as it would be a 15 hr flight at least.
Wonder if something in Ecuador for the Galapagos. That’s a great gateway to Latin America.
Berlin for their zoo which is massive.
Beijing for pandas?
