Definitely the 911, and it isn’t even close, if only to do it at least once in your life. The 911 Carrera 4S is an epic winter car.

There’s a guy I chat with in my building that drives his Carrera 4S year round. Great winter car. He also has a Cayenne for days he might be worried about clearance.

The fun of the RS3 is straight line only and the unique sound of the 5-cyl. You can save a lot of money and get a Golf R which is still very quick in a straight line but handles better because it's using the same AWD system and doesn't carry as much weight over the front end. The bonus is that it's a hatchback with better utility and looks a lot better than the current RS3 and it's completely black plastic front end. There aren't a lot of vehicles these days that provide bang for buck value but the Golf R is one of them IMO.

I would think it would be a lot of fun to have a 911 on big tires in the winter. SK winters would be difficult as we still haven't learned to clear snow, but a Calgary winter should be pretty good.

On my 4th one now, and can confirm. 99.9% of people don't care. For me the .1% is random teens/car dudes giving a "nice car bro", or (a bit more surprisingly) the occasional boomer woman chatting it up at the gas station. But that's it. And no obvious signs of jealousy or stink eye...the closest I ever got was a few weird looks from truck bros while driving through remote North Dakota....but they were probably wondering what some random NY-plated Cayman was doing there in the first place.
Maybe back in the day, when Porsche only made sports cars, they were more special...but now you not only have more of those, you also have dozens of daily sightings of Cayennes and Macans that muddle down that brand mystique. I think in general, these days we're all so inundated with luxury and billionaires/high spenders on social media or whatever, that even the Ferrari's and Lambos of the world don't really raise an eyebrow. Same goes for your fancy Rolex, LV bags, whatever...
Anybody who stops themselves from buying their dream car because of what other strangers think, is wasting their time. Nobody cares...people are too lost in their own world. Drive what makes you happy.

Panameras are fantastic, just not super practical from a cargo hauling perspective.
Even the first gen is great to drive... And you don't see how ugly they are from behind the steering wheel Whereas the current generation just plain looks amazing.

A turbo V8 Panamera would be a wicked daily that just happens to be practical.
But you want the 911.

I would daily a Panamera wagon quite happily. The sedan's can be hit or miss for me, depending on the color and options the back end is either hideous or perfect. No in between.

I've done the big sport sedan thing three times now. I want something more nimble for my fun car, plus my Tremor as my daily means I have a big pseudo luxury cruiser in that truck.

My face is a bum!

If you don't need any practicality and care about handling, no question 911 is the one.
