Wonder how many hours is spent on CP?
I think 1.7 hours is on the lowside.. everyone is rounding down!

I spend at least 1.7 surfing even before I do any real work. Then much more CP after that.

1.7 for surfing? HA! I spend abou 1.7 actually working.
Between CP, eBay, TV and lunch breaks I would be on a high end of that!

Article says ages 40-49 only waste 1.4 hours?!?! My generation is letting me down, get out there and SLACK! Crap, back in the 80s we didn't even have any Interweb thingamadooie to help us waste time, so we should be BETTER than these damn kids!

For me it really varies...sometimes I think I waste way too many hours working, but then other days 1.7 is so far under the real number you could put a 2 in front of it!

I'm going on vacation at the end of the week, I just stopped smoking today, and I'm filled with an overwhelming sense of who gives a crap. So I doubt that I get anything new done in the next two days.
But I have a really strong urge to rip somebody's head off and bowl it down the hall way in front of my office.

I'd like to think that with the advances in technology these days, what would have taken someone in 1985 8 hours to get done, I can complete in 2.
Or at least that's how I justify it....

Hang in there, the first three days are the worst. I smoked for 14 years and quit cold turkey. Once you get past that three day thing, it's all mental, the physical cravings are gone, despite what your mind is trying to tell you.

Today has been really tough to get along with people. My brain keeps telling me to have one, it'll settle me down.

Wow, just cold turkey? Good luck man. I recently tried to quit by cutting down slowly... lasted 1 week but failed miserably.

That's exactly how I justify it too. I can't imagine working an office job with no internet. How did people do it?
Now the question is... why don't we try 6 hour work days with less interweb surfing? Half days?

Me, I quit cold turkey. I tell this to people, and they ask, "what did you quit?" And I say, "I just told you, cold turkey!"
