All network TV is declining. Everyone only watches 60 second clips, even if they're watching TV it's only background noise for doom scrolling.

I think of BBC's Top Gear. They jettisoned Clarkson and then he took his cast and crew with him to another project.

But even if thats not feasible? Think about those people. They are living beneath the 'Sword of Damocles.'

I wouldn't do that. I wouldn't live like that again. I'd be gone.

That's the only time i ever watch him. They do show the whole opening monologue though so it's not 60 seconds.He has 21 million subscribers on youtube

I don't know that ABC could have played this any worse. They now have the left, center and MAGAs mad at them which isn't a great thing for a company whose future is tied to growing their easy-to-cancel streaming services.

Yet those subscribers don't actually convert into views. The view counts on his video are very low in comparison, unless of course he's crying about Trump.

From Top Gear to Grand Tour? Yeah. Same Clarkson.

They didnt renew his contract and I think within 6 months he was gone, May and Hammond declined new contracts and went with him and they took the entire filming, camera crews, Directors and Producers with them.

Everyone left and started the Grand Tour on Amazon.

Kimmel should do something similar. Burn the place down. Take everyone you want and salt the Earth behind you.

One of the few ways to teach a bully a lesson is to punch them in the face.

It's impressive that you managed to go from "Kimmel whining about Trump is bad for viewership so the network cancelled him" to "Kimmel's highest viewer counts are when he's whining about Trump" in a span of three posts.
