2nd and 3rd stars were both Oilers according to ESPN? No Frost with 2 goals including the OT winner?

I personally cannot see the Flames being the 3rd worst scoring team in the league this year like they were last year. Barring injury, I think we see them jump up to the middle of the league.

Younger guys like Zary and Coronato have another season under their belts, Parekh is going to add some much needed offense from the back end once he finds his footing.

Every year is different, lots of Ebbs and flows year in and year out.

That's a lie. It was McDavid.

I didn't see it, but I heard Parekh had a dominant 2nd period.

Didn't watch the game, but from the tank perspective, it's encouraging that a near NHL flames roster lost to Edmonton's tier-3 team in Calgary.

Really? I can see them being even worse. I’m not saying they will be worse, but it would be absolutely no surprise if they were. Not sure what will happen, but better/worse is a coin toss IMO.

Guys that were not up to expectations could revert to productive this year, or their low production could be the new normal. Big ???s for guys like Farabee and Sharky. I hope Zara and Scorenado will take a step forward, but that’s just wishful thinking.

CC has spent more energy on the mid/long future than the near term. I’m OK with that. Pretty sure we will be a lottery team even with another great season from Wolf.

I think that’s their way of saying the EDM goalie sucked. Three goals on 14 shots or something like that.

Yup, 2nd-star was Nurse (1g), and 3rd-star was Matvey Petrov (1g,1a).

Some encouraging talk on tonight's broadcast, they were saying that Jake Bean had himself a HELL of a summer, and that Huska has said that he is thoroughly impressed by him physically and mentally. Bean was on a pairing tonight with our Golden Boy, Zayne Parekh. They also said that Bean was injured long enough throughout the 2024 summer that he wasn't able to train the way he wanted to, and started the season off behind the 8-ball, which contributed to his sub-par performance. Would be nice if he bounced back.

Was at the game in edmonton, frost looked great, klapka was noticable in a good way, the shot count was maybe a little misleading but prosvetov looked good too. It's so hard to judge these games both teams just looked so disjointed, so many whistles, missed passes etc.

Stars of the game here at home were 1) Clattenburg (1g), 2) Coronato, 3) Noah Philp (1a).

If we can get what we thought we were getting from Frost and Farabee, this year will be a lot more fun.

They were both so snakebitten since coming over.

Frost has never shown the talent he had coming out of junior. If he can find that magic again he has some serious offensive upside still.

I thought Coronato was noticeably terrible (although I missed most of the first). Suniev might have been our best player.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Flames have waaaaaaaaaaay to many defensemen. Conman needs to sort it out. Figure out who the want to put energy into and trade the others to try and upgrade forwards/centers

Weegar
Hanley
Bahl
Andersson
Bean
Parekh
Cicek
Pachal
Kuznetsov
Solovyov
Miromanov
Brzustewicz

All of the above could be on the roster. I think we’re going to lose some of them on waivers.

Funny I thought the opposite. Coronato generated a lot of offence.
