You can it appears but logically I think it kind of defeats the purpose of this button in my opinion for the majority of heating times.
Say you want a 3 minute cook. Used to be 1 button, pushed 3 times. Now it is 6 buttons pressed, but can do it quicker by press 3:00 on the pad which is 3 buttons.
I know this is a totally minor gear grinder but it just makes me laugh. New model has so many crazy signs of cost cutting it's comical and the power cord is right in the middle of the unit at it's longest depth as opposed to a side where you can maximize counter/shelf space.
I totally press the 30 second button 6 times and have never even considered putting in 3:00.
People who litter and can't properly dispose of cigarette butts piss me off. Volunteered to do some cleanup by the River here in St. Albert. After 25 minutes we had completely filled up the Garbage bag we had. Is properly putting litter in bins that bloody hard?

I really have no idea what curves is even talking about. Which microwaves even have a 1 min button? My 25 year old Goldstar has a 30 second button and my brand new Panasonic has 30 second button.
I would never think to cook in 1 minute increments. Instant oatmeal 30 sec, stir, then another 30. Scrambled eggs, 30 seconds, whisk, 30 more seconds. Cup of boiled water, 1 minute and 30 seconds. Melted butter, 30 seconds. 2 pizza pops, 2 minutes and 30 seconds. A 1 minute button is dumb.

The best trick I can teach you cavemen who still use microwaves is: adjust the power level…. If you want to heat up a bowl of something dense, use like power 6 or 7 and leave it in there for a solid minute.

We held our annual river clean-up on September 6, 2025. Close to a dozen volunteers helped with clean-up around the Crowsnest River in Blairmore, and Gold Creek in Frank. We removed the equivalent of three pick-up trucks full of garbage from the rivers and banks. Among the items removed was a shopping cart, inflatable raft, car parts, paddle, sandal, clothing, golf balls, plastic bags and wrappers, beer cans, small basketball, and a large dead brown trout.

I know right? Everyone knows that Income Tax was brought in as a Temporary Measure to help Canada fund the War effort and they just kept it around! Its technically unconstitutional and no Government can force an independent citizen to pay it!!
You probably have no idea how often I still get that argument.
