Tear gas used on protesters at Chicago-area ICE site as immigration crackdown escalates https://share.google/KehOD1XX7UotMnAf0
Of note
Quote:
In a statement, DHS said over 100 rioters "surrounded" the facility, "assaulted law enforcement, threw tear gas cans, slashed tires of cars, blocked the entrance of the building and trespassed on private property." DHS said local police "refused to answer multiple calls for assistance."

Sounds like they need the national guard, right?

NEW: The Pentagon told journalists it will require them to pledge they won’t gather any information — even unclassified — that hasn’t been expressly authorized for release, and will revoke the press credentials of those who do not obey.

The Trump administration said on Friday it would ask companies to pay $100,000 per year for H-1B worker visas, prompting some big tech companies to warn visa holders to stay in the U.S. or quickly return.
The change could deal a big blow to the technology sector that relies heavily on skilled workers from India and China.
India was the largest beneficiary of H-1B visas last year, accounting for 71% of approved beneficiaries, while China was a distant second at 11.7%, according to government data.
In the first half of 2025, Amazon.com#(AMZN.O), and its cloud-computing unit, AWS, had received approval for more than 12,000 H-1B visas, while Microsoft#(MSFT.O), and Meta Platforms#(META.O), had over 5,000 H-1B visa approvals each.
Lutnick said on Friday that "all the big companies are on board" with $100,000 a year for H-1B visas.
"We've spoken to them," he said.

Trump said Friday the military carried out its third fatal strike against an alleged drug smuggling vessel this month.
Trump in a social media posting said the strike killed three and was carried out against a vessel "affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organization conducting narcotrafficking in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility."
Report that 3 were killed.

Hard to see how blowing up these boats is anything but illegal extrajudicial killings. I think that trump likes watching people being blown up.

This is the kind of policy that I would hope Canadian companies are capitalizing on. Between that and the issues with research grants in the US, there must be some great opportunities.

When questioned about the first Venezualean boat being blown up and the lack of evidence that they were smuggling drugs, the orange rapist said you could see "white stuff everywhere". Insinuating there was cocaine, going off infrared video footage from a moving and destroyed vessel at sea.
He truly is a vile, lying, pig rapist.

I worked for a tech company that had a presence in Canada and the US during his last attack on H1B workers. It was really sad for those people fearing they'd have to uproot their families and move back home, but damn was it a good time to hire good people from the US and move them up to Canada.
Sadly, our immigration changes have made it a massive pain in the ass for skilled workers to navigate the system of late.

Oh hey there it is...the grift. Kinda knew it would be somewhere
Critical part of the President's new $100,000 charge for H1-B visas: The Administration can also offer a $100,000 discount to any person, company, or industry that it wants. Replacing rules with arbitrary discretion.
Want visas? You know who to call and who to flatter.

Plain and simple this is murder, even if these boats were smuggling drugs US law doesn't execute people for it and even if they did they certainly couldn't do it without a trial. There should be a world court arrest warrant for this pig.

Trump threatening Bondi with her job unless she prosecutes his enemies
@realDonaldTrump
Pam: I have reviewed over 30 statements and posts saying that, essentially, "same old story as last time, all talk, no action. Nothing is being done. What about Comey, Adam "Shifty" Schiff, Leticia??? They're all guilty as hell, but nothing is going to be done." Then we almost put in a Democrat supported U.S. Attorney, in Virginia, with a really bad Republican past. A Woke RINO, who was never going to do his job. That's why two of the worst Dem Senators PUSHED him so hard. He even lied to the media and said he quit, and that we had no case. No, I fired him, and there is a GREAT CASE, and many layers, and legal pundits, say so. Lindsey is a really good lawyer, and likes you, a lot. We can't delay any longer, it's killing our reputation and credibility. They impeached me twice, and indicted me (5 times!), OVER NOTHING. JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED, NOW!!! President DJT
