I imagine that would be uncomfortable.

Lomberg would become the 13th forward instead of Kirkland.

He reminds me a bit of Derek Ryan. Loved his vision in the rookie games. Fantastic story and easy to cheer for the local kid and your whole family. I am sure it won't be a smooth ride but with that mindset he will find a way!!

Anyone know if they are doing another version of The Chase this year? That was great last year!

HIGHLY doubt it

Klapka is a force, guy is so under rated around here he was unstoppable at times last season and he is just figuring things out. Farabee is a hot take its obviously not happening

Hopefully Klapka takes another step from the end of last season. He was really starting to figure things out.

I suppose of the 3 Klapka is the most likely to not be on the roster day one...Farabee and Sharongovich will be there. I am really high on Klapka though, those three are locks IMO.

Klapka is really unique, as he's deceptively fast and talented for his size. I'm really looking forward to watching his progress this year.

It was only for a brief stretch, but he looked great with Huby/Kadri to close out the season. Similar to Pospisil 2 seasons ago.

That's not really fair.

He was injured in camp and took a while to get going but was the team's 2nd most productive five on five player in the team's last 41 games.

Flames are patient with kids, apart from Parekh, Bruz and Honzek I can’t imagine any sticking with the big club out of camp. Even three seems like a ton for the Flames.

Probably Bruz, Suniev and Gridin all get the Coronato treatment and if they play well on the Wranglers we’ll see them later in the season.

I hope CC can get something for the waiver guys. There’s some talent there but not sure it is NHL ready on this particular team.

Zayne appears a lot more serious in the above interview than how I've seen him before. Guessing it's a mix of nervousness, feeling the pressure as he brought up himself and being focused. Excited to see how this turns out and whether or not he makes the team after camp and if so, as a regular 6 or perhaps a 7 if he isn't ready just yet for a regular spot or if the coaching staff end up feeling it's best he goes back to juniors which would lead CP to riot.

How certain are you? 98%?

Farabee seems like the only logical player in the top 9 to have their spot taken IF there was a spot to be had. I don’t see the staff keeping suniev or honzek in a 4th line checking role. They’d be better off playing bigger minutes in the AHL imo.

Suniev isn't NHL ready. Don't worry about that. He needs time in the AHL.
He has an NHL shot, but the rest of his game needs time.

And indeed the best place for that is playing big minutes, across all situations, in the AHL.
