Thats the point of term limits and Trump says all kinds of insane #### but he also does a lot of it and gets away with it...So I dont know whats going to happen but if he gets a 3rd term...dont ask me how, I'm no US Civics Scholar, but if he somehow manages it?

the US are on a speedrun towards authoritarianism. The ####er hasn't even been in office for 9 months yet, and the constitution is being shredded. If they keep this up, what makes you guys think there'll even be an election in 2028?

I think after he gets midterms either cancelled or rigged, Trump will throw his support behind Don Jr to succeed him. Democracy is over in the US as is fair elections. Unless the left grows a set and uses greater numbers combined with violence the US is going to be the new Russia. We are at that point.

It's funny because not long ago, this was hyperbole and a conspiracy theory that the US was becoming an authoritarian state. But frankly, I wasn't paying attention because I thought that. There are way too many things that have happened there now that only happen in authoritarian states.

And Democrats have more than an uphill battle. I know, I know...just wait until the midterms. Well, those midterms are looking like a disaster. First, you have all the gerrymandering and voter suppression that is a problem. Then you have literally troops on the streets in all of the Democrat cities, and now we're seeing control of the media rolling along as well.

And lets be honest, 'running again' is a generous turn of phrase, its going to be more of an 'ungainly saunter' to Victory.
