I don’t think that would help. He went through the pain of creating an Ongoing Murder thread and was too simple to just post the Kirk stuff in there.

Our boy just needs that little bit extra when it comes to attention.

You may not believe this, but no one has been murdered recently, hence why that thread is sliding down the boards. I'm sure we would have had more updates if there were actual murders to report.

I feel bad for the people who worked on the show. Jimmy will be fine but I think about his announcer, Lou, who is a really funny guy and had a sweet gig. The crew might find jobs on other shows but Hollywood is not what it used to be, and long-term jobs are drying up.

Do conservatives and MAGA understand that Colbert and Kimmel were comedy and satire?

Serious question.

Of course they do. That’s why they’re only trying to make comedians lose their jobs as opposed to threatening to kill or arrest them (general reserved for slightly more serious speech offences).

Does anyone even watch late night talk shows anymore?

Fallon is terrible in my view. And Seth Meyers quite boring.

I used to watch David Letterman back in the day and even Conan was creative at times.

I am getting old clips of Craig Ferguson on my feed. Creepy but entertaining and his guests would certainly dress (or undress) the part….

I was quite young but used to watch Carson, was a huge Letterman fan and wayched every single night for years, loved Conan. Fallon is an unwatchable doosh, didn't love Colbert, Kimmel is by far the best host of any late night show at the moment. Since earlier this week I guess.

Everyone has their tipping point but the Kimmel cancellation is so damn obvious and infuriating to me. He was one of the few who had the balls to go that hard at the orange rapist and his show was funny as hell. This seems like a fever dream.

Millions of people do, yes. It has obivously declined in the last 20 years but not at a rate any worse than broadcast TV in general.

I am an enormous fan of late-night, but primarily through YouTube. I agree, Kimmel and Colbert were the best. Seth used to be, but I think he had some writer turnover, and he is not as effective as he was.

Kimmel is excellent. As a side note, when Conan was cancelled, he paid his entire crew's salary, or something to that effect, until they got a new gig. He is in a whole other class than the others. His podcast is also excellent. Watch the Kevin Nealon ones in particular, but they are all good.

Jon Oliver is also amazing, but another class yet again.

Then the grand-master Jon Stewart. At least we get him once a week. His podcast is also excellent and dives deep with great guests.

It's actually a really rich milieu currently. People are just ingesting it in new ways.

The attentive reader will see Fallon was not mentioned. That is enough said about that.

The entire "Man Show" would be considered offside now. Not only was it constantly objectifying women, but Kimmel appeared in black face and dressed up as a little person.

That being said, Jimmy was good at his current job. And the MAGA crowd isn't trying to cancel him previous indiscretions. They are going after him for exercising his right to freedom of speech, supposedly a value they support.

How do you dress up as a little person? Don't they just wear...clothes?
