I wonder how long before Hollywood movies & shows start getting cancelled as well. I imagine Paramount+ are likely under extreme pressure from this administration right now to cancel South Park, considering how much Trump and MAGA have been made fun of on that show.

Yes, the real enemies aren't the fascists, they are the ones against fascism...in this Orwellian new world.

Antifa is an organization? Where is the HQ? Who is running the show?

Is Antifa actually an organization? I always thought it was just a name that the right applied to leftists they consider radical.

Every sect needs a boogeyman. Antifa is Trump's boogeyman. IIRC, the name was heavily used to describe the people who blocked of a chunk of Seattle. And then it was Antifa who accelerated the riots in Minneapolis during the George Floyd incident.

To be honest, much like Kirk, I don't know enough about Antifa to know if it's an actual organization like Hamas or Maga.

Man, it sure is bewildering watching America coming apart at the seams like this. Everyone's out for blood . Even the rational voices out there are coming across as frenzied.

Antifa is not an organization. I am, however, the head of it, no matter what my buddy Rachel Hurley says.

It wasn't real.... But a bunch of people are probably wondering where they can go to enlist.

So while the entire U.S. has been distracted by all the insane nonsense of the last few days, this quietly happened yesterday.

Looks like the tariffs are here to stay for the foreseeable future, unless of course the Supreme Court rules that they're illegal (which they are). But I think we all know how that's gonna turn out.

https://www.politico.com/live-update...trump-00566975

Quote:
House Republicans voted in near lockstep Tuesday to again cede congressional power over tariffs to President Donald Trump.

A measure that effectively blocks challenges to Trump’s sweeping global tariff declarations through March 2026 was adopted on a 213-211 vote. The vote was gaveled down only after GOP whips had a drawn-out struggle on the floor with a band of Republicans who initially opposed the legislation before flipping to yes.

The vote was held open for more than a half-hour as they worked to bring the members back on board.

When does Trump come after the podcasters? Trump vs. Ben Meiselas is the fight I want to see. Ben can handle himself.

Can you take down podcasters though? They’re independent.

Kimmel, Colbert, etc - these guys are employed by networks. You can threaten/intimidate their employers into cancelling them.

Many of them are part of networks or hosted on platforms that could be threatened all the same.

Hope you’re happy defending this behaviour.

Now is kind of a strong sentiment. I think Hitler and Putin only wish they could have moved as fast as Trump has been moving.

You have
  • Gulags
  • Secret police
  • The media self censoring
  • Billions of dollars being driven into dear leaders accounts
  • Extra judicial killings
  • Court rulings that strain credulity
  • The state socializing industries in service of the leaders goals.

Truthfully it's just a question of how bad it gets. History would dictate depending on your age it's unlikely there is a peaceful way out of this within your lifetime.

Either the state will leave tens of millions to suffer and to die prematurely (this is not hyperbole, prison camps, extra judicial killings, the denial of medical science, the denial of meteorology, and all out subjugation of the lower class will kill millions before we even get to war or ethnic cleansing), or There will be full-out civil strife, or the US will push so hard that other nations have no choice but to react (this seems farcical, but if you imagine a world where the US actually invaded Canada or Mexico, there will be organized semi-state actors enacting guerrilla campaigns inside the US boarder on a scale they can't even imagine, if they invaded Greenland how would Europe respond? if they invade Venezuela will the fight obey boarders or spill into other parts of the Americas? these dominos could tip fast).

A few countries have crawled their way out of where the US now is, but it was measured in decades not years. And i don't think you can even hang your hat on mid term elections anymore, because unless you somehow find a super majority in the senate that will oppose Trump, he will ignore congress the supreme court will issue a shadow docket ruling that it is legal in the one circumstance, so as to not set any precedent for others who want to exert extra-legal authority.

I don't know what you should do. But it's isn't happening, it's already happened.
