Penguins sign Marc-Andre Fleury to a PTO. Will play in a preaseason game. Looks more like a goodbye tour instead of an actual attempt to resume his career.

I mean, wasn't last year his farewell tour? So if this isnt a 1 day contract retirement as a Pen this feels odd.

6-foot-7 Andrej Sustr, who has played 361 games with Tampa and Anaheim but has spent the two season in Europe, has signed a PTO with the Rangers

All this PTO talk reminds me of a few years ago when the flames signed Sonny Milano and Cody Eakin to PTO's. Obviously didn't work for either guy, but what could have been... the Flames would have had the best two flows in the league.

Panthers going all out on PTOs, adding Daniel Walcott and Josh Lopina. The Pens have signed Brett Murray to a PTO. Walcott has spent the last 10 years in the Tampa system, but only played 1 NHL game.

It doesn't hurt to add some PTOs. Even if just to build relationships with the agents. If their client has nothing going on right now, it at least gives them a stage to demonstrate they might be useful still to another team. The worst thing for an agent's client is to not be doing anything at all right now. Just be honest and upfront about your intentions. It could also help fill out your AHL depth.

^This is the first time I have heard any of those player's names anywhere. It almost reads like a list of hockey player names generated by AI. Are we sure these people actually exist?

Lmao
Tulio was an oilers draft pick iirc, the rest I’ve never heard of.

Other than Tullio, I've heard of Wells and Poganski. Poganski has played 22 NHL games, and Wells was also an Oiler draft pick who played 1 NHL game with Chicago. He was actually part of the Max Domi trade from Chicago to Dallas

Of the others, FYI:

McGregor was a Leafs draft pick
Walker was a Tampa draft pick, and played 13 games with the Wild
Moore and McKay were never drafted.

Looks like Poganski, McGregor, Walker, and Wells all played for Utah's farm team last season.

Looks like Matt Phillips has been invited to Ducks camp.

The Wild have also invited Jean-Luc Foudy

I'm still watching to see where Roslovic ends up. A RS C/W, that put up 22 goals, and 39 points. He isn't great defensively, but he is still a decent bottom 6 option for most teams. Vancouver makes a lot of sense as a destination.

I recall hearing that when he left Winnipeg, he didn't want to play in Canada. I can't recall the source, but I guess at this point, beggars can't be choosers. Having said that, if I was running a Canadian team, I would think twice about bringing in a player that made those kinds of comments in the past.
