I don't think I ever mentioned it, but I when I was in Penticton this summer, there were a couple of 40+ year old guys trying to hit on teenage girls. One of them had a Stuart Skinner tattoo on his arm. It was like a stencil art picture of his face and said Skinner under it.

God I hope that was his Dad or something...there is no other excuse for that...

Of course there remains the whole 'hitting on teenagers' thing but thats to be unpacked on another day...

May want to stay out of jail.

I could live a happy life not ever seeing mcdingus spittle on the ice 127 times per game. He's just gross.

Oh the mental gymnastics displayed in that video are very impressive.

It’s funny, if Friedman had said he thought McDavid was going to sign they would be all over that as evidence he’s staying. Friedman says he thinks McDavid is leaving and it’s “well he really doesn’t know anything more than I know”

LMAO

I love that this is already becoming a massive distraction for the Oilers. That team is gonna be all kinds of dysfunctional to start the season if this doesn’t get resolved soon.

Gregor is such a clown. I saw him whining the other day about people wanting the playoffs to go back to 1 to 8 saying it won't matter because the Oilers played Dallas a bunch of times in a row in the old format.

He just wants the Oilers to get a mentally fragile Kings team every year.

Yup. And you just know that they’re probably gonna draw the Kings again this year, because the hockey gods clearly enjoy watching the world burn.

Texted my oiler buddy yesterday and he's ####ting bricks he is going to leave. The hockey gods have a way of screwing Flames' fans at every turn, so l won't rub it in until it actually happens. I personally think he will re-sign eventually, but the delay at least gives me some hopium there's truth behind him wanting out. The oiler fear is fun to experience in real-time.

The fact that he’s mentioned faith and having all the pieces “…in this season”, “2025-2026” season sure makes it feel like he’s going out of his way to be non-commital nor vested past this season.

I would love to see a slow start, skinner have a shaky few games, and the narrative becomes “goaltending”, “defence”, “depth” is costing this team mcdavid’s extension, that should be fun to watch. I’m sure it’s not going to be distraction though

At the very least, it seems to me quite evident he's taking it to July 1. He (and his family ) knows exactly what Edmonton has to offer. The only reason not to sign is because you want to see what the other 31 teams have to offer. Or, 1 team, if Toronto is in fact the ultimate goal.

I thought so too for a while. But honestly if he was going to re-sign, I think it would have surely happened by now. It’s not like this is a normal negotiation where the two sides are just disagreeing on details. McDavid is gonna get whatever he wants at any term he wants, and the Oilers are gonna pay it. End of story. So what’s he waiting for?

At this point I’m thinking he’s gonna walk after he plays out this season. McDavid is a little dumb, but I don’t think he’s that dumb. He and his agent both know that he’s already wasted the majority of his prime years with that dumpster fire of a franchise, and that he’ll never win a Cup there.

His interview didn’t really say anything new. To me what was more telling was Kyle and Elliot’s comments after the interview where they both thought he was staying and draisaitls interview.
