Dreger on TSN radio said that McLeod and Dube would have no problem getting a contract, and suggests that the Leafs should have interest in Dube.

I know Hart doesn’t want to play in Canada. I suspect none of them do.

"When asked Wednesday if the Flames were interested in re-signing Dube, Flames general manager Craig Conroy said at this point, no.
I think Dylan probably just needs a fresh start, Conroy said.
Dillon Dube won't return to the Calgary Flames https://share.google/IOduQiBvrbJu9oLPA

It would be quite absurd to invite all the negative commentary, whether it is merited or not, for a third liner who never showed elite skill. Good stuff Conman.

Pretty sure we will see some of them back in the NHL soon. Guessing if they were on team canada they were first rounders. Someone will give them a shot.

Guess again. Only two were first rounders. And not the ones most likely to get a spot.
How did you not know Dillon Dube was a second round pick of the Calgary Flames?

Too much of a reputational risk to sign these mediocre guys and risk creating issues in the dressing room and with your fanbase. Looks like most teams are passing on them. Now if it was Kobe Bryant or Connor McDavid...totally different situation because the risk actually comes with a substantial reward.

The Canes did reportedly have interest in McLeod and Hart. However, I saw that a few Canes fans did get vocal about opposing the signings. Wonder if that had an effect on the Canes decision. I also wonder if the sudden Canes Team President resigning was related.
