Official that Burrow needs surgery so he'll be out at least three months. Great player, but definitely a guy made of glass.

His O Line has always been terrible. He kind of gets some blame on that for having the Bengals spend all their money on Higgins and Chase. They should've let Higgins go and have that money allocated for a better O Line. The Bengals are wasting his prime, and I doubt Joe is ever going to reach the SB again in the black and orange.

I think it’s noteworthy on how the view of turf toe has changed over the last 15-20 years once people became cognizant of how debilitating it is. Before, I remember the general view was “A toe? How bad can it be? Wrap it up and get out there!”

Now people hear it and are like “Burrow’s got turf toe? Oh, he’s screwed.”

Yeah, that's an injury badly in need of a re-brand, as it's much more serious than its fluffy name would have you believe.

The thing with Burrow is that it's been different injuries that have put him out. Knee, Wrist, Toe...so they're not really related. The only common thing is that he get's hit too much. As others note, rather than invest in the offensive line, they've invested in the skill position players. So it's much more aesthetically pleasing to watch when Burrow is in the game. But no Burrow, no chance. Although they have started 2-0 and we see that 9-8 makes the playoffs. Right now I think 9 wins will be all the Chiefs can muster.

McCarthy is out for a few weeks with an injury, so Wentzmania will begin in Minnesota.

Giving up on McCarthy this quick would be pretty bold, but he has been mostly cheeks for 7 of 8 quarters so far.

You use the injury to buy more time for him, as I don't think it's giving up on him at all.

You're 1-1 and he's probably going to miss 4 weeks.

Bring in Cousins and he can help McCarthy out and hopefully get you to the playoffs this year.

While McCarthy didn't start last year it's not like he was backing up all season, he was out injured the whole time.

He's still younger than Cam Ward at 22 years old and this is basically his rookie season. He's not looked great and the fact that he's being coached by a supposed QB whisperer that made Darnold look good is worrisome for sure but I assume the Vikings won't be quick to give up on him. If Wentz is serviceable it may not be a bad idea to have him hold a clipboard and play spot duty/relief until the game slows down for him.

McCarthy has been quite bad though, if you are committed to him you need to live with this season possibly being a write-off. If Cousins comes in and it looks like 2022 again (minus the endless miracle wins) going away from him is gonna be impossible (pissing off the fans, pissing off Jefferson etc...). And with $50 million+ in dead cap if you acquire him and move on after the year, that sucks too. But he's making $57.5 million (!!!) the next two seasons so....yeah that ain't no backup lol.

I think the SB will be Packers vs Ravens or Bills.

Super exciting news everyone....

Quote:
The Las Vegas Raiders minority owner and seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback announced Monday that he is teamed up with Fanatics, Fox Sports and OBB Media for The Fanatics Flag Football Classic.

Brady will play in a first-of-its-kind round-robin tournament featuring three teams of current and former NFL players.

The tournament will take place March 21, 2026, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

"It felt like the perfect time for me to hit the field again and get my competitive juices flowing," Brady said ahead of Monday night's matchup between the Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers.

Among the participants are Saquon Barkley, CeeDee Lamb, Christian McCaffrey, Sauce Gardner, Myles Garrett, Brock Bowers, Maxx Crosby, Tyreek Hill, Odell Beckham Jr., and Brady's former teammate Rob Gronkowski.

Additional participants, consisting of professional athletes from other sports and celebrities, will be announced in the coming months.

The teams will be coached by Pete Carroll, Sean Payton and Kyle Shanahan.

So anyone else catch that brutal NFL "float" ad on the US channels yesterday?

Some AI-created Raiders baby, the Rizzler, and just a bunch of other really crappy CGI stuff. Just weak sauce all over.

In the past the NFL had some good ones like D.K.Metcalf playing piano, and the this is the script this year. This float one is awful. Hopefully its gone forever by next week.

I was hoping that thing was gonna stay on the YouTube only game, which made sense for that, but yeah it's the cringiest thing the NFL has done in some time.

Nah, maybe at the 15, but stopping at the 1-2 yard line with three timeouts and the two-minute warming is impossible to burn the clock.
