Synthetic fibers everywhere are kinda starting to grind my gears. Getting harder and harder to find basic clothing with natural fibers such as cotton, wool, leather etc.

I'm with you. I hate polyester and similar materials because they make me smell weird even if I'm sweating in the clothes but when I'm shopping so many polos are synthetic and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find cotton polos. I only buy wool pants for the office and that is some what difficult but also significantly more expensive than all the synthetic fiber pants.

Why do my iPhone and iPad constantly log me out of CP, no matter what settings I select?
You might have your browser set to automatically clear cookies. As long as I click the keep me logged in button when I login I stay logged in forever on both my iPad and iPhone.

It's just annoying cause now you really have to dig into materials. Cotton pants I used to buy are now not, same goes for underwear, basic sport clothing. All this fake fiber, recycled plastic crap.
Your wool pant example is spot on, even the dress clothing is going downhill. Love seeing how $1000 dress shoes now routinely have a rubber sole on the bottom instead of leather stitched sole. My grandfather, who was a custom shoemaker would not be able to process that thought.
I went last night to grab my wife a late-night snack, and I thought to myself, heck, I'll get myself a Papa Burger with two slices of cheese. No fries, no drink, just a Papa Burger, two slices of cheese. Eleven dollars. I should have just left and said no thank you, but I stupidly bought it, and it was actually pretty mid. I think I can do a Smash Burger just as good, and it's a lot cheaper. I don't know why I keep making this stupid mistake.

As someone who eats too much of it, fast food is becoming crazy expensive.

I already had a drink in the car the other day and went for a papa burger with fries. $16 with no drink. I was stunned as I don't order fast food much these days.
You need to download every different fast food place's app to get the deals they offer. Even then it's not really worth it, but it beats paying $12 for a teen/papa burger or whatever.

Which brings up another gear grinder for me. A&W sends out paper coupons every so often, but you can't use them in their app when placing an order (I haven't found a way at least).

So what happened to all that noise enforcement that was going to happen this summer? Anyone notice a difference, or hear of tickets?
Quote:
The City of Calgary started the summer with a plan to crack down on noisy vehicles that roar down residential and commercial streets like 17th Avenue, disrupting residents, patrons and pedestrians alike.
To date, the city says seven tickets have been issued.
Quote:
In a statement, the city noted the newly minted Traffic Safety Team's peace officers work daytime hours, and most of the noisiest vehicles can be heard driving in the evening and early mornings.
Yeah, I keep the McDonalds app on my phone, just because it's easy to use and they have legit savings not only on monthly coupons (every 2 months or so) but also the money you spend adds up to unlocking decent free items very quickly.
All the other apps are clunky, stupid and rarely get you anything that you don't get from just ordering whatever is on special at the drive thru.

Agreed on the McD app. It was great.
But I'm still doing my darnedest to boycott American products and companies, so I no longer frequent McDonald's.
It's too bad that Tim's sucks and is no longer Canadian.

Another gear grinder (A&W being the worst abuser) is the new trend of "slider" style burgers becoming the new "special" priced burgers. "You can get unlimited buddy burgers for only $4!!!!". Yeah, but they're literally two bites each and you'd need 4 of them to equal a meal, so that's $16 friggin dollars before fries and a drink.
I hate that Circle K seems to be taking the Coke Freestyle machines out of their stores. I get that it’s expensive to maintain all of the flavour “cartridges” they have, but they replaced them with dispensers that only have five choices, and no Coke Zero.

I drive by fast food places and the new budget options are basically a kids meal. Oh boy, six bucks to eat like a toddler.
It's not even just fast food at this point. Was at Paris Baguette in Beacon Hill for the first time a couple weeks back, and they have a $6 donut. Of course, I did try it too see what the hype was all about. Not worth $6. It's pretty much the size and filling of a Tim's donut. WTH is Dubai chocolate, and how's it any different than normal chocolate?

It's the amount of temporary labourers from Nepal who died to make it
