I don’t get why some of these political analysts, who are supposed to be so educated about this stuff, are surprised at what Trump is doing. I watched John Avon and Nick Gillespie for a few minutes; I wanted to smash the tv.
Every once in a while someone might mention Project 2025. But “Unhumans” and “Dawn’s Early Light”? Never hear them mentioned. “Dawn” was supposedly a best seller.
Gillespie and Avlon act like what’s happening is just something Trump came up with because he (supposedly) can’t run again.
It’s so disappointing that people outside of the US are more aware of what’s going on in my country than the people here who are supposedly so educated. They’re not.
And they really dropped the ball.

It’s excellent to see a database where people will be held accountable for what they post. If you post crazy anti vax material you shouldn’t expect a job in healthcare. If you post material celebrating the murder of a guy who primary occupation is debating college students you aren’t going to be a good fit for most employers. Take the post above from Corsi, Charlie has been shot and killed on a stage in front of thousands of people, his 1 and 4 year old may never remember their father, when they google him when they get older they’ll find footage of him getting shot and bleeding out on stage. Corsi’s response to this tragedy is the kids are “probably better off.” Imagine that those kids are lucky this happened! How great is that. Anyways as an employer I would never hire someone who posted that and if there was a database I could check before hiring I would.

This is why you don't give the Christofacists an inch. They will take everything you have, and then execute you.

But you'd hire a person who mourns the loss of someone who preaches blacks are less than whites and spreads all sorts of society crippling bigotry? High standards.

So, if you had the choice between an elite performer who espouses Corsi's views, or a mediocre performer who espouses "Won't someone please think of Charlie's children?!?!?!?", at the same cost, you'd choose to make your business worse to make a point? Glad I'm not financing your business lol.

I daresay the children of CK googling their father in the future are going to find a lot more to be disturbed about by him other than how he died.
There are reasons why Musk’s kids want nothing to do with him, and why the descendants of Nazis change their names, get sterilized, or find other ways to distance themselves from that legacy.
Like CHL said, there’s a change they won’t end up like Trump’s kids at least, but I guess the mother is no saint, so who knows?

Given the horrific environment they've grown up in, it is unlikely, but I hope they grow up to become well balanced people who add positively to society.

I never said I would hire Charlie. If you post after a tragic death of a young father that his kids are better off without him you’ll find the employment market frosty.

It rarely comes down to that kind of choice though. Obviously if a person with horrible views has a skill that virtually no one has or they are truly elite it won’t make much of a difference how horrible his views are. But in the real world it is seldom like that, you get a stack of applications that are very similar and differentiating is difficult. A social media post that toddlers are better off because their father was murdered is an easy pass.

Yet the same people crying 'he was a father!' don't care about all the other kids his message damaged.
It's a sentiment that's been beat to death but I'll repeat it anyway. Kirk didn't care about people getting shot, why the demand to care that he got shot? Another bad person has left this earth, life moves one.
That's okay, I didn't need you to hire me.

Aren’t the conservatives the ones who raised the most stink about people being cancelled? And now they want to cancel people. There’s just zero self awareness.

You may think it’s a horrible take but this already exists everywhere. Social Media is thoroughly checked by anyone responsible for hiring. HR Reporter did a story on this when Dusty Imoo was fired by the Toronto Marlies for liking social media posts and that was 5 years ago.

There’s a difference between due diligence and a “list” or “database” that may or may not be correct, though. Let alone if someone on that “list” may have retracted their views and/or deleted that content on their social media, only for them to still be on that list.
