On April 5, 2023, Charlie Kirk said — coldly, on the record — that "it's worth... some gun deaths every single year" to keep the Second Amendment; he even called this arithmetic "prudent" and "rational." That is not fortitude. It is moral bookkeeping with human remains. This was in response to a question referring to the Nashville school shooting a week prior, the graves of which were still wet with fresh soil. A cost-benefit analysis performed on other people's children.

Now the banal phrase "some gun deaths" has a proper noun. At Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025, the apostle of that bargain met the currency he long demanded of others. The ledger he kept in the third person returned in the first.

Do not mistake this for triumphalism; it is indictment. The creed he preached turned neighbours - friends, spouses, children - into expendable coin for an idolized amendment. If one declines to counterfeit grief over this — as 1 claim my right to do so now — it is because the sermon has finally been made literal, and the euphemism has bled through the page. A civilization worthy of its rights does not prove love of liberty by expending lives, but by enlarging them.

Count freedom by funerals averted, not excused.

Given that alone and irrespective of his other objectionable preachments — of which there are many — don’t you dare demand I express for this wretched ghoul of a human an ounce of grief. That’s reserved for those whose lives he happily exchanged while acting as a carnival barker for the gun lobby and the selfish gun culture that permeates America.

Oh I agree. I especially loved watching a bunch of Oxford students hand him his lunch in a debate. He was totally outmatched. A fun watch to be sure.

I also recommend watching Kirk videos to see him get destroyed time and time again.
