Most of the general public is not interested in politics, do not follow it, do not care to understand the details. Before his death, most didn't know who he was. Even in this US Political thread, some have never heard him speak. It is a small segment of college aged adults that know of him as he tours around.
The Republicans, through Kirk and others, feel young men at universities are struggling and want to give them direction. So they have events and young men attend and listen. Now many here may say it's evil and disinformation but watch the video i posted earlier of just a normal event that was happening every day, not gotcha videos or headlines on social medial... Charlie Kirk destroyed blah blah blah. Watch a full show and judge for yourself. I mean at least these are solutions, even if you disagree. Where are the democrat activists, why are they not on college campuses?
You can't just look at one part of who he is and decide "ya, it's fine". That video may be, but it's also a technique to appear reasonable, bring people into your influence circle, and that's where you mould them into little hate-warriors.
They've had years to work on these techniques, you can't just be blind to what happens below the surface.
I see that Trump has already started to preemptively dismiss any radical right-wing nutjob who does something horrible in the future. They're just good guys fighting crime. Nothing to see here. The real problem are those radical woke lefties!

Actually there's one more detail, he seemed to have 4chan memes engraved on the bullets, suggesting his political leanings were actually extreme right, i.e. Nick Fuentes and the groypers, who were critical of Charlie Kirk for being "too moderate". The motive was probably to start a culture war and 'frame' the left.

Agreed. Couldn't help but laugh thinking of him trying to conduct the investigation after letting go all the actual competent FBI officials. Probably just spent the last two days looking at 4chan and asking chatgpt questions.

Fuentes and his group didnt like kirk at all. And looking more and more like this shooter was caught up in it...they groomed him, so to speak
