Part of the reason scams are so overtly stupid is it weeds out the people not dumb enough to fall for scams

These aren’t scams. There are just these businesses that do cold calls to make suits for professionals. They comb LinkedIn for contacts.

Fotze should have just been given a time-out. Lifetime ban seems kind of harsh, I think.

partially agree, he went a little hard, plus we know he's been going through a lot lately.

Countdown to fotze3!

Definitely a bad decision. It seems like the guy has unfortunately been a rough place for the last two months and this probably won't help him. It was a stupid comment and put of line but not to the extent the mods went to.

Was pretty obvious hyperbole making fun of the comments to come.

Honestly, 80% of what he writes was unintelligible content, grammar, and spelling wise. It’s like the message board equivalent of Boomhauer. But still he seemed mostly harmless.

I agree that he’s harmless. I never thought he was worth reporting, even when he was being a jerk, but I think it’s also worth recognizing that he probably got away with more derogatory slurs that anyone here by far. The kind of stuff that other posters have been shut down for almost immediately.

It was more impressive that he lasted so long.

For those of you that have always followed the rules, some lifetime suspensions can just be temporary. They aren’t always permanent. That being said I have no idea if this is a permanent or temporary ban.

He probably is on a time out, as perma bans are pretty rare unless it's a returning poster. Mods seemingly forgot how to sin bin about four years ago (maybe it's difficult to do? I don't know).

Have you actually ever reported someone ? While I dont always agree with you I think we have a common understanding that reporting people and asking for bannings on a message board or ignoring people was weak as F!

That said if anyone deserved to be banned it was Fotze. How he survived this long is amazing . I actually think he needs serious help and can only imagine how happy his workplace is that he left . Hopefully being banned and taking a break help the guy out
