^What vehicle did they come off of? The bolt pattern, hub size, and offset are all going to factor into if someone else can make use of them.

Anyone have any experience with the Hankook Winter i*cept evo3? Looking for winters and I was going to get Michelin Pilot Alpin 5 but apparently it doesn't exist in my front tire size??
Saw those Hankook in this test didn't look terrible: https://www.tyrereviews.com/Tyre-Tes...Tyres-2025.htm
Pirelli Sottozero 3 is another option. Or I think Nokian has Hakkapalitas in my sizes.

Not too soon if they need to be ordered and wait for them to come in.

If you can’t get Michelin X-Ice, get Blizzak or Nokian studded. I’ve had Hankook winters and did not like them much on ice at all.

What vehicle? I went pirelli because I have a light vehicle and that was the best rated tire for small AWD vehicles (non studded) behind the X ice and the Blizzack. Hakkas are great but I didn’t like being stuck into kal tires world. I have no complaints.

My summer tires are nearly done and I need to swap over to my winters, so if we get snow feel free to blame me. I, for one, will be happy when the snow falls because the ####### on motorbikes will be gone.

Or just buy a new set of summers since you’ll need to anyway. It isn’t like anything is getting cheaper the longer you wait these days.
Motorcycles may be done, but the sh-tbags in stock Euros with crackle tunes will still be out there… hopefully plowing into lamp posts and taking the bus from that point forward.

I’m going to have a new vehicle before summer comes and don’t feel like paying for an extra swap.
The bikes were especially annoying this summer. There was one sport bike revving to the limiter at 2am. Way worse than the tuners.

BMW M440i which I guess counts as a small AWD vehicle?

Yeah that's the other reason I'm looking now. This car had summer tires when I got it and my fronts are at 2/32 (or probably less now) and at this point I'll probably lose traction from just a picture of a snowflake in the weather app.

I’m also in a BMW so I know your tire size pain. Calgary tends to have the worst tire picking weather because we go from deep snow to bare pavement to ice. Personally this would be my suggestion in order having owned them all between my current vehicle (M35) an STI, M135, and ATS-V
X-ice - but I couldn’t get them in my size so I’m sure you will deal with the same. In my opinion the best winter tire for Calgary.
Hakkas - if you don’t mind the huge markup kal tire throws in them. They are 30% cheaper in Quebec. Noisy but great performance. Soft compound so quicker wear. I got 3 winters out of them.
Pirelli - two winters and I think they work great. I drive mostly city and haven’t had an oh #### moment yet. Sturdy on dry pavement with great wear. 2 winters and my tread depth is 8/32nd. They were 9/32nds to start.
Blizzack - deep snow monsters, great but softer so if you are spirited on dry pavement you notice the softer compound.
I want to be clear that this is all just my opinion on performance winters. I Don’t go studded anymore because the loss of traction on dry pavement (which is when I drive faster) was too offputting. Heavier vehicles don’t suffer from that issue.

As someone who lives off 12 Ave SW and spends a good deal of time 17 Ave, I'm gonna have to disagree, they're both equally awful. But as a car enthusiast, the tuners are a bit worse to my mind because they're ruining my hobby specifically.

So what happened to all that noise enforcement that was going to happen this summer? Anyone notice a difference, or hear of tickets?
