This whole forum has lost the plot. At least you’ve all convinced yourselves you’re the good guys.
How does being a father undo all the damage he's caused and hate he's spread?

I'm assuming you were this outraged when the Minnesota murders happened as well. And that wasn't one, but two people that were killed - twice the suffering, pain and unnecessary death.

Didn’t notice people cheering that one on here so didn’t feel the need to comment. But a good attempt at whatabout’ing a murder I guess.

I actually think all murders are bad, and the type of commentary here is disgusting and indicative of larger societal rot.

"Nerd" are we in high school? Is that your comeback call? Hypocrisy? Really? Go at it, you are probably fuming reading comments that do not align in your twisted mind.

My moral compass is just fine. A guy who said school shootings and kids dying is a price worth paying for people to have guns they don't need catching a bullet is poetic justice, not tragedy. I can even live with the potential irony of his shooting being the one that leads to real gun law reforms rather than the dead kids he said were a price worth paying.

Again. Save your fake crying. No one is buying what you're selling, nerd.

And did the two killed in Minnesota campaign across the country preaching hate, division, repression, violence and death too?

Logical and reasonable people do no condone violence and what happened today - all sides can agree on that. It is important to note, though, that the rhetoric that Kirk regularly spewed wasn't exactly conducive to peace, unity, integrity, and empathy (the last one which he, quite literally, campaigned against).

Do you think Kirk was a good person?

Did you know he called empathy a “made-up, new-age term that does a lot of damage”? Should we feel empathy for a man who had none?

Did you know he said gun violence was “worth it” to have the 2nd amendment? Should we feel bad when he didn’t feel bad when others were victims?

Again, do you think he was a good person?

I think when you are shooting people for having different opinions. Or for wanting to debate said opinions your country is lost.

Im just saddened by the lack of compassion, not just for that person but for any human being. Just my observation overall to the classless post.

It takes no special qualities to father children. It's simple biology. I wish we would stop extolling the virtues of someone for simply being able to impregnate a female. It doesn't make you a good person. Simply procreating doesn't make you praiseworthy.

What does make you praiseworthy is what kind of a person you are and how you live your life.

Charlie made his living by making lots of people angry, on both sides of the aisle. Conservatives were angry because of the way he painted the rhetoric as being damaging. Liberals were angry because of the terrible ideas he would espouse.

He did nothing to bring people together in order to help the human race progress. Those that sow in division and anger are not heroic, and deserve as much disdain as possible, for they obfuscate the true goal of humanity to live in peace and relative harmony. We all want that, nobody would say otherwise. Yet all he did was create the opposite of that reality for everyone.

Having children has nothing to do with your qualities as a human being. There's enough deadbeat dads out there to confirm that fact.

Why have compassion for him? He had none for others.

I don’t condone murder but I’m not going to cry when a piece of #### gets what he himself says is acceptable.
