Even though it was in a red state, this will 100% be blamed on liberals and will further embolden trump to send troops to blue states.

Agreed. Was just watching a story on CNN about this where the person being interviewed was saying violence is never an answer in a democracy. All I could think of was is this really a democracy now? What other options are there?

Actually, I guess it's not a very long list.

*Note: I do not advocate anyone shooting anyone. I do however have a limited amount of sympathy for someone who has made a career partially out of demonizing, denying the right to exist, and if not directly, then non-directly advocating violence against various segments of the population.

One huge thing that's going to be conspired against is the guy who was talking with him at the time is a young left wing debate no named Parker. They went back and forth at Charlie's jubilee episode. He shows up at some of these events to try to engage him. No way does a good conspiracy theorist ignore him being right there.

I generally try to avoid these video, but saw this one inadvertently in a reddit thread. I always shocked at how fake the actual death videos look. Media has, wrongly, taught me what a shooting is supposed to look like. If I saw a similar video in a movie, I'd call it out.

Holy crap, Parker was there? I like watching that kid argue with MAGA. It's red meat, I know, but he's an entertaining watch because he's young enough to not be jaded, so he laughs at right-wing nonsense and he's very knowledgeable about policy, etc.

So no, unfortunately, I don't think we CAN get away from the political violence. Like I say, I'm surprised it hasn't ramped up more quickly.

I said four months ago that I was surprised we aren't seeing more of this, particularly involving people who are highly visible and highly incendiary but who aren't like high-ranking administration officials or Elon Musk types who have lots of security. A lot of people like Kirk, Shapiro, TV personalities, lower level politicians etc. are pretty accessible to the sort of person who might want to do this sort of thing.

Also, to add to what I am sure is a large choir of voices, good riddance to bad rubbish.
