Don't get me wrong, I'm really enjoying this show, despite my criticism. I'd only change a few small things. I feel like they are beating us over the head with the crew stupidity at this point.

I'm willing to overlook a fair bit...but its just becoming too much. I made my complaints known about the ship's crew and, fair enough it was explained that these guys are essentially space-faring yokels.

I can make peace with that.

On the Island though? These kids werent picked at random. These Doctors and Scientists on the Villainous secret Island lair should be, one would imagine, the best of the best.

Yet they cant operate doors, they're all emotionally unstable at best, nobody seems to know WTF they're doing or why, for a place that is perpetually 'on camera' there is literally 0 oversight, nobody knows even the most basic safety procedures and protocols when it comes to dealing with Aliens...its getting a little much with the clownshoes buffoonery at this point.

So yeah, I'm with blankall, I think they're bludgeoning us to death with stupidity and incompetence that we can't just 'hand-wave' away anymore.

That cannnot be the basis of the plot of your show.

Definitely some question marks with Kirsch. Perhaps this was all part of the scientific method.

And yes, i'll lambast the idiots doing idiotic things, but its still a good show.

They have gone to great lengths to build up some pretty intricate setups involving the eye creature, Kirsch, Morrow, etc...but then the execution is just ultra sloppy. I feel like with just a little bit more effort they could have fixed the issues and given us a much better product.

For example, the Hybrid didn't need to just step through the cage door. They could have set it up so the door was sabotaged better, the eye bug caused a distraction again, one of the other hybrids broke protocol to set him up more, etc....If they are going to go as far as to have a character break the feeding cage door off, why not have them just sabotage the cage a bit more.

Kids and young adults are definitely dumb. We had a roofing company patch a hole in our roof, where the chimney used to be. The workers were all guys in their early 20s. All given proper safety equipment, training, etc... Not using any of it though. One guy falls off the roof, grabs the storm drain on the way down and slices the crap out of one of his fingers. There was a harness and anchor set up, as per code/regulations, but no one using it.

That's where I land too. There's enough skin crawling awfulness in this well done depiction of the Alien universe to keep me VERY entertained.

I mean... I think the Aliens are the good guys here.

I'm really loving some of the characters too. Kirsch and Morrow are great.

With many of the other characters, I wouldn't say I like them, but the creators have done an excellent job at portraying them going down psychopathic death spirals. There's also a bit of a game of thrones type vibe, with allegiances shifting and people waiting to be knocked off.

I think he's bad. I also think it's the smartest of them all, and we are just getting a taste.

That whole narration of Peter Pan and the Lost Boys, I think they are implying the eye is Peter

Also to that other comment about checking water.... I had a fruit fly in my water today just as I was about to drink it, and that was literally my first thought, were those effing ticks. I dumped my water and cleaned the hell out of my cup

To the comments regarding the idiot decisions. I agree, but at the same time, I am hella enjoying this. It's easily my top watch since Shogun

Has anyone here complained about Marcy/Wendy's haircut yet?

My god, it's so distractingly horrible. Like a female version of Dumb and Dumber haircut lol. I can't help but cringe every time she's on screen with that.

LOL. thats my only complaint about the series so far. I'm sure she is a good looking girl but damn.... it's as bad as the girl with the buck teeth in White Lotus.
