So many guys being sent to the office for pantsing the girls, but it was always a risk, no idea why people would wear underwear instead of shorts for tearaways.
I think near the end, modified designs for tearaways made it a little harder to pants someone, but the fad was basically dead even before those options began showing up.

Definitely the latter. Girls...guys...basically if certain people clocked those things in the hallway between classes/lunch, they're coming off. It was a lawless wasteland of ripping snap buttons.

No rulers...but we did have the STRAP !!!
Its closed sometime in the 80's when we moved to a new high school.
Sat empty for years until someone bought it and turned it into an art gallery.
Its actually kinda nice inside.

That's what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure if that was the style or if it was just because as a kid, all my pants had elastic waistbands.

I wore overalls from International Male (now Undergear). My closeted friend introduced me to their stuff and I didn't know it was for gay dudes. I think they looked great on me though.
Did I mention they were tie-dyed?

Brings up a jr high related GG for me. I pulled the chair out from under one of my buddies in class (hilarious) and got suspended for 2 days. Months later one of the girls got me (also hilarious) but I actually fell backwards into a desk and had to get 8 stitches in the back of my head. She got an almost stern talking to. Gears ground at the injustice!

I grew up with my cousins in the summers who lived in a mansion in that Pumphill area. Complete with golf carts we’d boot around in, outdoor pool, tennis court. It was like the Osbornes. I didn’t realize how good I had it. My cousin was same age and we adored each other, best friends. She went to sit down at a fancy grandparent dinner and I did the chair pull out thing, she smacked her head and bawled. I still wake up to that memory with guilt 40 years later. Just Being a jackass at 10 probably.

Bro if it still bothers you tell her and make amends
You gotta let things go.
You seem to dwell on things.

Me? Never.
No no, We joked about it for years after and continued to be really good buds. Don’t talk now for twenty years much because they all moved to Vancouver. She’s fine. It’s just one of those things I regret.
