Yeah, because they're fans of Nazism, and very openly so. Like most edgelords, they think dictators and Nazis are cool.

Oh....so much potential. If we could get some good digital artists to really put these in the Old Nazi and Soviet styles? I mean, Drumps' hair and tie alone are such a caricature they sell it themselves, but get some of those old Angular Soviet propaganda elements in there!

What was the seperation of church and state again?

Department of State v
@StateDept
X.com
Our nation was founded on the recognition that moral virtue and a steadfast faith in God are necessary preconditions of freedom. Yet under the Biden Administration, U.S. foreign policy belittled Christianity and weaponized government against faith.
That era has ended.
Under @POTUS's leadership, the State Department will eradicate practices that devalue and demean the Christian faith.

Must keep the people ignorant of the dissent

https://www.benrothenberg.com/p/us-o...carlos-alcaraz

Following up on the#earlier news first reported by#Bounces#about Rolex’s invitation,#I have further new information to report about the planning around presenting President Donald Trump’s appearance at the U.S. Open.

An internal email sent by the U.S. Tennis Association leadership to U.S. Open broadcasters, obtained by#Bounces, requested that broadcasters censor any possible protests or other reactions to President Donald Trump’s presence at Sunday’s U.S. Open men’s final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.

“With respect to Broadcast Coverage, the President will be shown on the World Feed and the Ashe Court Feed during the opening anthem ceremony.#We ask all broadcasters to refrain from showcasing any disruptions or reactions in response to the President’s attendance in any capacity, including ENG [Electronic News Gathering] coverage.”

Stop Acting Like This Is Normal

https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/07/o...e=articleShare

Quote:
I want to be very clear about what I am saying here. Donald Trump is corrupting the government — he is using it to hound his enemies, to line his pockets and to entrench his own power. He is corrupting it the way the Mafia would corrupt the industries it controlled. You could still, under Mafia rule, get the trash picked up or buy construction materials. But the point of those industries had become the preservation and expansion of the Mafia’s power and wealth. This is what Trump is doing to the government. This is what Democrats cannot fund. This is what they have to try to stop.

This is not just how authoritarianism happens. This is authoritarianism happening.

Look at Trump, in his Oval Office festooned with gold, with his masked agents roaming the streets; listen to the cabinet meetings where his appointees compete to lavish him with the kind of praise that would have made Saddam Hussein blush.

Tell me this is not what authoritarianism looks and sounds like.

Democrats cannot pretend this is a normal Republican administration. They cannot ignore masked agents in the streets, armed troops in the cities, billions of dollars of money going into the Trump family’s pockets, an administration that spins off several scandals in a week that would have consumed other presidencies for years. If Democrats cannot make an issue out of all that, then they are screwed and so are we.

People do what others do. Each law firm that bent the knee to Trump made it harder for the next firm to say no. The universities that fell to Trump created the same problem — that’s why it mattered when Harvard fought back. Everyone in society — every person, every institution — is a node of coordination. And if you look at Democrats in Congress right now, the signal they’re sending is not to take any risks. Everything is normal. Just wait for the election. I think sending that signal is a mistake.

The US has been putting right wing dictators into power all over the world and all through it's existence.

In retrospect, the natural endstate of that was always them doing it to themselves.

Bush Jr. really turbocharged this process, and ever since that (and probably going much further back) it's only really been going one way with occasional pauses, but never any movement away from all power being centered around the president and the White House.

So here we are. There are no more democratic superpowers, and we'll see how long smaller nations can hold on after that.

It is also useful to remember the US itself has only actually been a democracy for about 60 or 70 years, what we are watching to some degree is a return to the US's normal state, pre 1960

Same thing happened to Ukrainian refugees in Edmonton and Winnipeg in 2023. The guy in Edmonton miraculously lived.
Press was pretty hush hush about those incidents too

Was it politically motivated? More than 20,000 people are murdered a year in the US (which is a crazy number). Hundreds of reasons why that don't involve anything related to the US's terrible political situation.

They were, and Japan's murder rate is one of the lowest in the world, you silly goose.

An analysis of crime trends over the last four years shows two things. First, violent crime rates in America’s big cities have been falling over the last two years, and at an even greater rate over the last six months. The decrease in violence in America is unprecedented.
Golly Gee.

You really want to get into American homicide rate vs other countries? That debate starts and ends with guns, champ.
