Nice. Hopefully this is a steal and he commands a significant raise on his next contract

Pretty happy with this one. There is a really good hockey player there. Has to stay healthy but this kid is going to get better and better. Love his game when he is on.

I'm pretty happy with the signing, but I hope his next contract is 8 figures!(Because he's become a star player, not because NHL salary inflation)

Glad this one is done, he has more skill than most on the team, and he is exciting to watch when he is going.

Okay . This i like. Let him play now. At Center . Unless I'm missing something? I think he's okay on the wing but let's develop him into something.

I see a little Joel Otto in Zary . A guy with some MEAN and F OFF in his game.
Gritt like Yelle , MEAN like Otto, good defense like Monny.
 Anyone else?
 Berezan and Patterson as well.

But I won't stop there.....so many of these kids now have the tools , athleticism, motor

We have moaned and groaned and beaten horses to death for decades about needs of a center but FFs weve had some great forwards we've peed away and we have the Wranglers now , and God these days excite me

So much higher potential to develop and be creative and experiment like Conny has wanted to.

And i get it . BACKS hated not being a center when whatshis F tried putting him on the wing. Ive never seen a assistant coach so unprepared to wipe his own ____ coach this team .

Any way . This off-season has nearly killed me. Waiting , watching, imagining this team with these kids we NOW have .

Fellas....i see alot of Ws , banners, awards and cups in thr future . I do.

What's the $75,000 savings over three years good for I wonder? Maybe some nice stuff for locker room. Or soda money.

Glad that it's finally done. Hopefully he's got a case to double his salary or better when he does his next deal.

It kind of reminds me of Backlund. He had a difficult time staying healthy, got a new deal and then never looked back. Hopefully this is similar.

Any bets on which number Zary takes at camp?
I'm betting he takes #18, with Parekh switching to #19 in a year.

			I'm shocked the AAV doesn't start with a 4.
Now trade Rasmus and let's get on with it.

Good for Diss for getting this about exactly right. Some of the predictions of 4 or 5 year deals never made sense to me.

Kudos Diss.

Great signing and he'll deliver in spades to set himself for a big payday with the Flames for his next contract.
