A content creator is your source that a number of UCP members have received massive bribes?
I suppose you could find a content creator somewhere on the internet to say anything, but I wouldn’t believe everything that a content creator says.
Hello Troll, do you have something useful to say or do you just want to poke your head out from under a bridge? I mentioned that the story was from a while ago and I would have to dig to go find it... but why don't you go do that instead.
There is proof that Gina hired a bunch of UCP lobbyists to lobby the crap out of the UCP and then the UCP did some extremely shady things to allow her mine to move ahead. She threw money at them and got what she wanted to no benefit to the people of Alberta.
Go read the 30 articles that the Tyee wrote or go FOIP the government yourself.
Based on the growing evidence of corruption in the government (MHcare) I think it is safe to assume that whatever happened between the UCP and a foreign billionaire who wants to rape Alberta for it's resources was not above board.

Sensitive.
Yikes dude. You posted that you heard rumours of multiple UCP members have received massive bribes. I asked for a source. You said it was a content creator.
Sorry if asking for your source for the multiple UCP members receiving massive bribes. Apparently it touched a nerve.
Revised book ban details coming this afternoon apparently.
Can't wait!
These kids will be so disappointed that there will be no more porno at school.
They've cancelled this today, and the briefing is next Monday (which is what the tweet says, so I don't know if that means in a few days or just over a week).
In this article, Rick Bell calls Devin Dreeshan a "serious person" which is absolutely hilarious. I commute by bike and all this nonsense has really increased the hatred from drivers to cyclists this year.

a CBE teacher retiring today with full pension after 30 years of service and having been at the maximum salary on the grid (10 years pensionable service and 6 years education) for the past five years would have a pension of $51,119.40.
Did you assume $105,173 for the last five years? Top of the grid the last five years would’ve been:
So the five year average salary is $103,325 for this person.
Worth noting as well that this is a single life, no guarantee pension. So a teacher collecting that amount could die a month in and there would be nothing for their family. Other options like a 10- or 15-year guarantee would pay slightly less.

The whole bike lanes thing is ridiculous. Who does that benefit? who is asking for it.
How is that going to Sway Calgary votes in 2027.
Probably belongs in the civic politics thread but Jeff Davison is running partially on reducing the number of bike lanes. He clearly thinks it is enough of an issue to garner support.

I posted a rumour that I had heard/read a while ago in response to another poster who could not fathom why the Alberta government would help a foreign owned coal mine that will harm Albertans and our environment.
The only reason that makes sense for the UCP help that mine is because they are getting kickbacks. They would happily screw over all Albertans if it would allow them to grift.
Perhaps you know of some good reasons for that mine to go ahead in spite of the harm to the region and, more specifically, the water shed that provides drinking water to so many people?

Nenshi had an Education Ask Me Anything. It is a fairly long session (~80 minutes) but he hammers some great points about numerous things that the UCP are getting wrong and how they are attacking the education system.
He also solidly calls out the UCP for their culture war distractions. Every time they have something big that they do not want people to pay attention to, they will start a culture war to distract everyone.
Everyone should be furious about these new rules around girls in sports and how easily they can be weaponized against children.
Is that girl on the other team too good? Report her.
Is that girl on your team getting the better play time/position? Report her.
Did that girl stand up to your bullying? Report her.

I don’t know if you’ve interacted with him much before but this is really his whole schtick, so unless you’re entertained by the interaction then all you’re doing is wasting your time.

Liked for sea lion reference. That takes me back.

I did use $105,173. So I guess knock a few dollars off. My wife isn't retiring for awhile yet so I just half-assed my calculation to get an estimate.

On the other hand, Wolven's source does just sound like another orange julius guy.
The first ADAP town hall/gaslighting session has taken place. Luckily the attached link is a fantastic break down of what was said and why it was wrong. It also has a link to a full verbatim transcript so you a can see the lies yourself.
I k ow the book ban is distracting but the UCP is doing real harm to the disabled.

FWIW I think there is so much scrutiny on the changes in Alberta Health right now, I find the likelihood that officials received bribes to be highly unlikely.
I've been following the transition for awhile, and I like what I see, to be honest.
